"Posting a Comic Cover I Love" Kyra from Dynamite's Pathfinder #4, art by Erik Jones
One of the things that really solidified my love of Cleveland baseball was reading a book from 1949 that was just packed with delightful stories about the players, teams, and various and sundry folks involved in the history written by a person who was there for a lot of it!
Is she infiltrating Team Voltron or the High Republic Jedi Order? 🤔
(Saw this while searching for Death Guard!) Maybe go for the coloration of a bruise? Purple, deep red, a tinge of yellow?
I wonder if Gotham style pizza deviates from New York style at all? Like... I'd love for it to be like Utica style pizza, aka the pizza style that originated at O'Scugnizzo's in Utica, NY that has thin crust-> cheese -> toppings -> sauce -> Parmesan Romano cheese on top!
The first (and only non-reprint!) Pre-Crisis appearance of the real Matches Malone! Also, the first appearance of the League of Assassins!
Yep. I love the Golden Age Hawks with the archeology/reincarnation story and the Hawkworld cops/aliens story. The Silver Age just... doesn't fit. Hawkworld took the Silver Age concepts and managed to make it coherent and fit. Alas, the Silver Age duo was still present, too. Kinda. Sorta. 🙃
Bone Age by Kenner! A really cool concept that had cave people and dinosaur skeletons that were both mounts and often featured alternate builds. I only saw them briefly as a kid and had I think... one or two? But they were really cool and paired with DinoRiders to help satisfy my love of dinosaurs!
Like... what route did he take?! I live in that area, roughly, and there are some nice views and some cool stops, but... wow.
Saturday is going to be wild as I try to come up with a last second @danhausen.bsky.social costume to attend Syracuse Deviant Dance Tribe's "Neon Knockouts" event! 😅🦇🦷🧛 #Danhausen #VeryEvilVeryNice #Transhausen
"He wore a red hat to the premiere that read, 'Make Animal Farm Fiction Again.'" Yiiiikes. I should have known this was going to be a disaster as soon as I saw Angel Studios was putting it out. 😬 (Quote is from: www.usatoday.com/story/entert...)
I actually liked her! Granted, I only really knew of her from The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe trade as that was the only one I had and I read it a lot as a kid. 😅
"You peasants don't understand how terrifying and traumatizing it was when The Red Death showed up inside our closed off masque at the abbey!"
Kings. It was a really fascinating take on the story of Saul and David with an absolutely powerhouse cast. Alas, NBC failed miserably in marketing it, keeping it in one time slot, and giving it a legit push. I m8ss it even now.
Just with comics, look at what the "public domain" of early mythology gave us: Thor and Wonder Woman and their backing Pantheons. Are they "lore accurate"? No. Are they absolutely amazing and have become pillars of comics? Yep! Now folks want to gatekeep the modern mythology of comics? No thanks!
"Shining Knight"?! Like... the original or my beloved Sir Ystin?! I mean, I was already going to buy it just for Hawkgirl, but now? 🤘
Yeeeeeah. Especially after the really good JSA series was axed before its time. Al and Ted were great together in that. It was not a fun time to be a young fan of the JSA.
The only thing I knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy when the first movie dropped was from their Marvel card from the early 90's. I was soooo confused. 😅
Messing around with a Frost Vrykul/Hyldnir Witch look for @worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com on #MogMonday. The Haranir model is so darn flexible for what you can use it to represent. I really hope that the other races eventually get access to this level of customization.
"Der Krieg" (The War) by Otto Dix, a triptych with a predella.
