For the first time in an entire lifetime of having dogs, I have one who is chill enough (when tired from a dog park AND a walk) to sit with us on a patio for a meal. 15 months old, and he just watched all the dogs & kids, without trying to play with any of them….or eat the food. Good boy!! 🐕
I found this in our yard & I’m worried it’s the start of a horrible apocalyptic zombie thing. All other signs seem to be pointing that way too (fires/smoke/heat, advancing fascism, war). (Fuligo Septica, also known as dog vomit slime mold)
Other than one dog who would clench her jaws of steel when pill time came, we’ve always had dogs who just let us easily poke it in there with no drama. No pill pockets or cheese bamboozling needed. Much appreciated when this one needed about 10 pills/day in his last year.
JFC. I love dogs. My dog is the BEST boi and I adore him. We go to off leash parks all the time. Here he is at one last week out in the burbs. I feel this gives me standing to say these people are absolute loons. The audacity.
Moj has finally captured his mortal enemy - his tail - and will not let it go. 🐕
Here are two of our sweet boy Moj on his first birthday last week. We adore him even though he ate a baseboard this morning.
He got a little poo on his forehead while digging under a log, but still looks cute and happy!
It’s #InternationalPuppyDay?!?! Every day is puppy day here. This little pogo-bouncy, spazzy, bitey great big soft cuddly chaos tornado is almost a year old and we adore him.
A PSA, in case anyone needs it: don’t eat your bed, there are very serious (and expensive) consequences. The puppy is recovering well on day 5 post-op, but almost certainly would have died without surgery. Little stinker.
Just buy all the cold weather gear. Then you can lord it over everyone else how you walk the dog or go for a run or whatever in -20 weather and feel just fine. It is the Minnesota way.
I live in Payne Phalen but am up north this weekend. Lighting a candle in Aitkin county for my cities, for my state, and for Alex. Thanks for standing up.
Breaking news: new puppy! 6 mo old husky/shepherd mix, the sweetest and most playful boy ever. We were dogless for 6 months after many decades of dogs, and that sucked. He has just slid right into our lives already as though he’s always been ours. #DogsOfBlueSky 🐕
One year ago today, my dad died unexpectedly. He was the best and I really miss him, all the time. That’s it, that’s the whole skeet. Here’s a picture of my dad.
When the Strib did this a while ago, I found an article about my grandpa punching a cop during a traffic stop in the 50’s. Here he’s being fined for illegal liquor purchases in 1951. He died before I was born, so these tidbits are fascinating. Dad always said he was a shady guy & small time criminal
Said goodbye to the best, funniest, sweetest, most handsome boy this week. We are heartbroken & are dogless for the first time in 20+ years. 14 years was not long enough w/ Moj, but we know he lived his best life to the end, swimming, running, chasing balls, being loved. #RescueDogs #DogsOfBlueSky 🐕
We went to the Hands Off rally in Grand Rapids MN today. Small county/city, went 60/40 for Trump. 300+ people showed up - massive for Itasca county! Honking cars far outnumbered the dudes who gave us the finger. My fave sign is the NSFW one. #HandsOffMN
Post a picture of when your pet was little. (Puppy Moj, on adoption day 14 years ago, and a bonus photo from a month ago)
