Quote with a ridiculous movie you think people should watch.
Patience never has been my strong suit but I guess stubbornness is.
Aaand that is a new PR on Kroc Rows. 70kg for 5 and 80kg for 4.
This 100kg chonker just hit 13 clean pullups from a deadhang, a number I hit last time a decade ago when I was 20kg lighter. So much for things being over when you roll past your 30s.
This is the first time in my entire career I actually have a physical edition of a game I helped make. 🥲
Training was meh this week. Not react to ng well to the mini-cut I am on and not getting enough sleep. But I did manage to get the 100kg bag on my shoulder and managed more reps with 20kg Gada.
Ohhh got some different angles of my latest plane pulls. 😊
Learning the traditional technique for Gada for the first time. Am so accustomed to the western style that even with my standard training weight I get into coordination issues and over- or undershoot where it should come into chest contact. 😂
I'm not good at gauging what is an appropriate deload weight. I feel if I can pump out reps it should be fine though? Haven't trained with a plan in months and during that time I pulled two airplanes so I guess all's good. 120kg sloppy rows.
First time swinging a 20kg mace. Usually only go up to 15kg and I had to buy that one myself as the other gym only has em up to 9kg. Wild to see a 20 in a cheap chain gym. Definitely was the first one to touch it since it opened. Thing was pristine. Gotta try doing 10-2s with it some day.
Pulled my second airplane today. Heat was scorching but all in our team got it moving. Thanks again to www.instagram.com/effzett_?igs... for making it happen. Ilyushin IL-14, Soviet spy plane used in the former GDR. 13 tons empty. Did two attempts and got it like 30m total at sub 100kg bodyweight.
Da ein Gym rein! @chiefbulkofficer.bsky.social
Completed the last hard training 3 days out from another airplane pull. One more very light session and then hopefully I get the bird to move. I really need a lengthy deload after this...
Way too many games to pick from but these are the ones I would pick today.
Relaxing in the heat with something cold and a pipe, but not too relaxed. Arguably getting angrier than I was before. Maybe I am doing this wrong.
Some meditations with one of my favourite rocks.
Grizzly scenes at my gym. (I am doing globe pullups but we don't have the proper equipment)
Letting off some steam in my favourite place.
Trying to be more athletic inbetween the weird stuff.
After the airplane pull is before the airplane pull I guess. So prepping a bit for the next one.
Still can't really believe we pulled the candy bomber this week. Surreal.
First day back in after the airplane pull. Still feeling out of whack so taking it easy and working on my deadlift Rows for stonelifting.
Different perspective on my last attempt of the airplane pull from Monday. Douglas c54 Skymaster from the 40s, quad engine prop plane, 19 tons empty. This one used to be a troop carrier and probably part of the Berlin airbridge operation. Again big shout out to www.instagram.com/effzett_?igs...
Hehehe, these shots go in the good memories folder. 😊
Sick the week before, 3 hours of sleep, typical Monday. 19 ton Skymaster from the 40s. Big shout out to www.instagram.com/effzett_?igs... for making it possible and thanks to the technikmuseum.berlin for hosting us. We'll be back for their other machines as well. 🙏
Did some fun and slightly insane things today.
