I received a WEA tornado warning at 37,000 feet for this storm today.
The old, precast concrete panel broke off an elevated portion of the retaining wall beneath the bridge beams. A DDOT contractor remains in right lane today.
In DC, a big slab of concrete fell off a bridge/retaining wall onto I-395 under 7th Street SW earlier today. Similar occurrence in NYC on the Trans-Manhattan Expressway earlier this month.

Auto enforcement warning: An illegally driven, lane-splitting, no plates motorcycle passed between my car and this speed camera, generating a ticket for my plate even though I was below the speed limit entering a left turn lane. How many others have been wrongly cited and forced to cough up a fine?
Two army air taxis just went down the Potomac River, forcing several DCA arrivals to circle back. Close to one hundred of these military helo flights lollygag low over the DC area every day. 💸💸💸💸💸💸
The USAF is very excited to play with their toys today. 11 AM was Helo Attack Hour.
The smoke is still hanging over Southwest but is lighter. More than a dozen fire units still working in and near the tunnel-expressway.
Anything but blue sky over downtown Washington. Large bus fire in the 9th Street Tunnel. The expressway under the National Mall is closed. Unsettling scenes given police activity and protests on the western side of the Mall.
I convinced my family to gather for a spectacular sunset hours ahead of time. These clouds never, ever disappoint.
An update on these two: a neighbor put out rat poison and killed one, a cruel and painful death. It's partner found the body and keep returning even after I removed the body.
They seem to also favor polluting over Falls Church nightly for some reason. MUSEL is the chauffeur unit that some representatives nicknamed the "air taxi" service for the privileged.
The nice thing about the daily Air Force loop-de-loops is that they're done late at night, at lower altitudes than any other helicopters, and in war Hueys which are the among the loudest invented. Thanks.
There was a lightning strike at 10:49 PM, waves from vertical bolts hit your eardrum at once, thunder is known to be louder in winter/early spring... yet here we are again ignoring the overwhelming evidence and playing dumb on the internet because it's 2026.
The military's way of saying good night to Falls Church is with loop de loops from 800 ft at 100 db, a peaceful way to drift to sleep.
