I build giant robots (at a small scale). I like Gundam / gunpla (and mecha in general), Magic the Gathering, and Final Fantasy. idk/idc #gunpla
If they're putting a Necrophobe fight in the new FFXIV patch update, then maybe we'll get to see Gilgamesh again!
Final Fantasy XI just has this certain quality that keeps me coming back. It has a sense of exploration and discovery that's unparalleled by any other game in the franchise. I always feel like I've accomplished something, progressed toward a goal, every time I log in. It's a fun game to get lost in.
Got the gloves, now I just need the hat! I've tried fighting Miser Murphy before, and I know he's no slouch. I'll probably have to level up some and try after that.
I finally got all the FFXI RDM AF gear in FFXIV. Yes. It's a mix of caster and healer gear, but it's RDM stuff all the same. Maybe next week, I'll go back and try to get the casting top. Still working on getting all the pieces of gear in the real FFXI, though.
I finished my replay of Final Fantasy VII. Its position in my series rankings did not change. Good game, but definitely overrated. After Aerith dies, the plot kind of meanders until you get to the final dungeon. The first disc is the best part of the game by far. Gonna replay Final Fantasy IX next!
The intro to Rise of the Zilart is so funny. They just insert this scene of Kam'lanaut summoning the Ark Angels between Raogrimm coming to his senses and Castle Zvahl exploding, and they explain it by saying, "oh, a lot of shocking stuff happened that day so you must have forgotten!"
Oh, Final Fantasy XI update: I beat the Shadow Lord! It took 53 hours from starting the game to felling the final boss. On to Rise of the Zilart next!
My Venat/Hydaelyn Commander deck was not working at all, so my friend helped me do a rebuild on it. I figured that it deserved a subtitle to celebrate.
Ah yes. The trap for impatient people. Definitely not something I fell victim to, not at all. I definitely didn't slide into spikes twice and then get stuck and have to look up how to get past it. Totally not me.
You know, he didn't really seem like a "pleased to meet ya" kind of person in the FFXIV alliance raid.
In FFXI, I learned that you can trade Sparks of Eminence for level appropriate gear and also a particular shield that sells for a lot of money. I geared up and made a trip to Windurst to buy a bunch of new spells. I'm glad to finally be wearing new gear after 25 levels lol
I finished FFXIII. It was messy. It was rough in spots. Lots I like and lots I dislike about it. It nailed the ending, though. The last two chapters were great from start to finish. And anyone who says this game "isn't Final Fantasy enough" is full of shit. It's definitely Final Fantasy.
I picked up the old Final Fantasy X Play Arts Tidus and Yuna figures. They're 20 years old at this point! Despite their age, I think they look much nicer than either of the newer Play Arts Kai options, which is why I picked them up. It's good to have the main characters from my favorite FF!
I'm pretty sure the way Hope rides Alexander's Gestalt mode in FFXIII is a Giant Robo reference. I think I'm the first person to notice this, making me the smartest and most cultured FF fan of all time. If I were given the chance, I would 100% ask Tetsuya Nomura about this.
I picked up a set of the old FFXII Play Arts figures for my birthday. They were second-hand, so I gave them a good soap scrubbing when they arrived. Ashe's belt was missing a part, but I was able to scratch build a replacement. Other than that, all three were complete, and I'm quite happy with them.
