Best way to make a 17-year old arthritic cat with chronic kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, & an undiagnosed heart condition happy? Forget the meds, get him his own doggo.

A cream/tan throw rug covers most of a similarly colored, circular dog bed. A pibble mix, white w/occasional black spots, is splooting away from the camera. To his left is a geriatric black cat squinting at the viewer. The tip of the cat's tail might be underneath the doggo, it's hard to say

Chewy, the recently adopted all-white (except for a few black spots) pibble is squeezed onto one half of his dog bed. Bean, the 16-yr old head house panther, is plopped close to the middle of the bed.

Having to constantly monitor for resource guarding of me from the cats has gotten old fast, but at least there are moments like this.

A large pittie mix is on his right side, lying on top of his human's slippered feet. The doggo is all white with some small black spots scattered mostly on his ears. The human is wearing tan socks with horizontal brown stripes; there is a mystery scratch above the left sock on her shin. The floor is old hardwood that has seen far better days.

Congressman Jamie Raskin: The multiple reports of sexual assault & misconduct be women staffers & others about Rep. Swalwell are detailed, disturbing, corroborated by contemporaneous accounts & all too compelling. These allegations are disqualifying in many ways. He should follow the advice of his campaign manager & CA colleagues & end his campaign. My thoughts are with the survivors.

The second pane is a close-up detail of what's in front of the Lady, sitting on the floor: Yep, a medieval cat in medieval armor. The only cat parts visible are the lower legs; everything else is covered in cat armor, including the armadillo-like armored tail.
(Seriously, if anyone knows the actual painting/artist I would love to know. It appears to be a legit painting.)

Pretty sure this is the same artist as in my pinned post.

A cute bunny, tan with a white belly, is sitting on its hind legs. It is wearing what I suspect is a green pinecone as chainmail over its neck & shoulders. It is holding what appears to be a thistle sharpened into a spear. Gothic lettering above & below the bunny states, "We must remain whimsical to survive the horrors of this world."

After 14 years, last night I said goodbye to Radar. I always referred to him as my "lemon kitty", but he was the sweetest boy cat I have ever known. I will miss his head butts most of all.
