my take on Sirius & Orion is that they're honestly pretty underwhelming. their strongest ability, which i guess is their "ultimate", is a big flashy combo that hits up to seven times after you spend a while charging it. it LOOKS good, but it's actually weaker than many comparable nuking abilities:

the second explanation is that perpetual violence is somehow necessary for keeping the peace in Pontis Tower. unclear if "ritual" here means something supernatural (e.g. appeasing the indifference) or not (e.g. keeping hunhow stable), but either way, really something the story should have explained.
one of the provided explanations is that vena/ryoku are "entertaining hunhow"; their mission opening lines sometimes assert that their goal is to amuse him. you know, amuse the guy whose *entire character arc* in this quest was that he's sick of violence. the "i repudiate destruction" guy.
i genuinely think if you write shit like this they should revoke your license to write japanese characters
