DR UK’s Statement on Timms Review Interim Report

“The interim report finds PIP “not fit for purpose.” This comes as no surprise to Disabled people, but huge questions remain about where the Review is heading [...]

With the hostile political backdrop, Disabled people are fully justified in being concerned about the scope of the Review recommendations, which is set to be published this autumn [...]

Whilst the Government states that the recommendations need to stay within the projected budget envelope, the Secretary of State has said that he doesn’t rule out cutting the PIP budget. Naturally, this will limit any recommendations or improvements to the system. It also demonstrates the clear political choice the Government is making, as this comes alongside Starmer’s pledge of £15 billion in military spending over the next four years.

On Saturday, we joined half a million protestors who refuse to let hate divide us 💥 As proud members of the Disability and Migration Network (DAMN), we stand in solidarity with Disabled migrants everywhere
