You may not understand the level of petty going on here but this is a Montreal page; getting them to even mention Toronto is basically impossible. That they chose to share this is either enjoying our suffering or implying we are dirty & gross, maybe both lol Gotta respect the commitment to the bit!

Quite a few people quote-skeeting this and claiming that the thing the article headline says happens just didn't happen, which, like, the article is right there my good dudettes, you can simply click it and read it.

That decision came after one bad actor, the Meta-affiliated data center company Goat Systems LLC, flooded local waste water pipes with fill-and-flush swill containing a rare and deadly bacterium known as Cupriavidus gilardii. Per Cowboy State, Goat Systems was found to be in “significant noncompliance” with Cheyenne’s industrial waste regulations after a months-long investigation traced the bacteria to Meta’s discharge.

So uh... how widespread do we think stuff like this is? Is anyone calculating the, uh, "productivity gains" from executives going completely fucking bonkers with AI psychosis?

A reddit post that reads:

"I have exactly the same situation. Our CEO feeds everything into AI and asks it: "What is wrong with this?". Of course, it makes up an answer because the question is so vague. We haven't shipped a feature in 6 months, marketing budgets are frozen and the company is struggling to pay its bills because nothing is good enough for the AI, so nothing gets approved. Managers have also been told we need to lay off staff and replace them with AI. FML."

Lol 24 paragraphs in they finally point out that this paper is produced by an pro-AI think tank with undisclosed donors. If you check their homepage the language reads way more like lobbyist than think tank, because of course it does.

It is further worth noting that the main organisation behind the Europe 2031 scenario, Arq Foundation, based in Brussels, describes itself as “neither an advocacy NGO nor a venture-backed startup” and does not disclose who funds it.

This is probably the real reason, for that intense flurry of entirely unjustified suspensions they were dishing out non-stop a few weeks ago. For yes exactly, posting anything critical about the exact devs/ admins who keep breaking/ ruining the platform for all users:

Bluesky's "Russians hacked Bluesky accts, so we HAD to suspend hundreds of accts, immediately..."

WAS A FKNG COVER STORY! To provide an excuse for maliciously suspending whichever accts they wanted to silence, as they saw fit!

The only original source for that "Russian hackers" BS, is Bluesky!

An AI slop "infographic" that contains very little actual information. The legible text reads "Artists quit trump-backed America 250 concert after complete lineup reveal" and then shows the faces of several artists who may or may not have actually pulled out, and a graphic labelled "funding controversy" that just says "major donors - reports link funding to event - special access - offered special access - offered special access" in a circular pattern, which does not appear to reference or mean anything.

"I spent money on products that worked well and now they don’t work well" is the flashing red warning sign. These guys are constantly talking about the benefits, most of which are *potential* benefits, and never ever talk about the risks or actual harms. But clearly people are experiencing this!

It's in Android game apps too, and is actually a marked improvement over the overt "Download an AI girlfriend, you're allowed to abuse them!" ads which briefly proliferated and which I reported every time. I saved this one so I could prove it in case there was some kind of lawsuit. Truly awful.

Oh my fucking God this is why you don't use "token usage" or "lines of code" as a proxy for productivity, which is something that is EXTREMELY FUCKING OBVIOUS Capitalism not only not a meritocracy, I'm increasingly convinced it's an anti-meritocracy lol

Looking up a company to park a phone number for my partner and checked the reviews and it had dozens of reviews that were almost universally "this company was great until they switched to AI and now everything sucks" How long can we call keep pretending this stuff is fit for service lol

Two reviews of Voiply. The first reads:

The voicemail system sucks
The phone works but its voicemail system sucks. You can never talk to a person to work it out. The AI created three tickets and promised someone will get back to me every time, but no one did, it is very frustrating when you cannot screen your calls with this system, especially when there are so many spam calls nowadays.

The second reads:

I've had this service 2+ years
I've had this service 2+ years. It was ok until they "upgraded" service in Feb 2026. Now I can not retrieve voicemails, text went away and AI customer support has not been able to give me live support. I just paid another years service in January (when it was working). I guess I'm stuck for another 11 months.

Two reviews of Voiply. The first reads:

Horrible quality, NO customer service, mobile app hacked.
No customer service only AI agents that don't resolve problem. Also, mobile app does not work and can easily hacked by someone else, so if you are using Text message through this service, your information can be stolen. The phone service is also terrible. International numbers would not work. Local calling is terrible too. It is a total trash service.

The second reads:

AI has eaten this company alive
AI has eaten this company alive. Nearly impossible to contact a human via any channel. My voip service was down for a week. The gateway device would reset the instant the phone went off-hook. So no outbound calls, couldn't answer inbound calls. Initial contact wanted a photo of the enet cable plugged into the gateway. Then needed a photo of the cable going to the router. (???)
Eventually received a replacement gateway. This one did not reset at off-hook, outbound worked. Inbound failed, the GW had a totally wrong phone number configured. No access to a web interface, none of the factory reset procedures would clear this number. Spent most of the day 'chatting' with AI, opening new service tickets, tracking tickets, responding to AI emails. After about 8 hours eventually got a human contact who reset the GW number. All works now, hopefully long enough to port my number over to a different VOIP provider .....

This dad was talking about how much he loved being a dad and how special that love for his kids is. Of course, loving your kids is coded as girly shit so Meta's "AI" tool - which you cannot turn off or hide - inserts itself here to prompt you to ask about motherhood. Fuck dads, amirite?
