got like thirty-odd tapes i’ve been bouncing over here with jams hidden amidst them. spontaneous sonority sandwiched in between rural ohio church carillons and handbell choirs, sermons that try to catch their breath undertow of our cacophonies.

It’s good to be home.

nullspot all set up nice for the New Year now I’m home in da big city!! Boots and mask on the carpet like i just exploded Spontaneous Human Combustion style, kinda. There’s too many details for me to get into it here— music-making space with a lot of options and implements and eclectic ephemera.

the eclectic ephemera plane continues to the right, looking on to the Organ and the recently destripped Rabbit upside down to air on the keys. My grandma and her headcanon posthumous clown amore look on from their portraits. Rabbit full suit hands from the bedroom door, boombox illuminated. I am enjoying the new position of horse chair and bench with Noah’s Arc pillow, earlier remnants of sipping a complementary boba tea and cranberry juice from a Big Dogs mug apparent.

My cat Eliyahu, who is now Fat Tuesday, rolled on her rounded side, paws bent and expression loaf’d.

She loafs in an alternative direction (belly-side-down) on the admirable old carpet Billis unrolled from the carport and gifted Nullspot.

I’m On A Beach Vacation!

Leo stands farther away from the camera, accommodating the scale of the colossal bridge spanning a wide river, its mouth winding to the sea just right of the photo’s frame. The bridge is bold concrete, three columns anchored below the water; once a railroad trestle welcomed in the first decade of the 1900s, now turned roadway. It is night, almost a full moon. The clouds and the beach are gray, and both are full of lava rocks, which have been falling from the sky all week.

Leo, closer to the camera, illuminated and slightly smeared kinesis from the flash. It is wearing a loudly patterned pink and turquoise tshirt with the sleeves cut off that a Bahía man stripped off his back and gave to his mother sometime around the late 80s, along with frumpy denim drawstring shorts. real talk i had a lovely day deep-cleaning the kitchen to cook for more friends tomorrow and ate two meals of chinese food for lunch & dinner denmate’s mom got us, yay! I’m thankful every single day for so many things, but especially tonight (to hit the Mom cliches): for Love & Faith & Family 🥰

Thanks for responding in-kind, kindly! I understand where you're coming from, I definitely do, but I just don't think it helps us to publicly put down the appearance of the frog n co considering the media landscape we're in and the resistance we are trying to collectivize.
Absolutely, yes, labor organizing and striking have the potential to far more deeply and meaningfully shift our systems towards a more equitable and just horizon than a few frogsuiters. But with what is happening right now, a war waged in spectacle, there is absolutely a necessary piece to be played by both the optics and the actions of those showing up in costume or peaceful protest, like the pastor in Chicago to share another example mentioned ITT, and I do see that piece doing important work, sabotaging to whatever degree it does the fascist attempts to paint a certain picture. Unfortunately, a wave of frogs gurbstomping cops isn't going to deliver a better result with how the systems are rigged right now, with their current ~war strategy~, and with where we're at in organizing in opposition. And I don't see picking apart in public posting that piece these protestors play as doing liberation any favors, while it does indeed open the door to negative consequences. I think this time would be better spent directing our energy to the work we think *is* important and materially productive to be done, rather than complain about parts of the resistance movement not looking like how we'd ideally want liberation to look, and that is what I mainly want to point to in pushing back on this post being made the way it was.
