I like to paint and then figure out what happened to make it be like that. What war was fought here? Are the mines abandoned or still in use? Is it just on that one side of the road? Does a child live at that house? Is it scary to take care of a child next to an active mine field? #art #painting

and in a few minutes
she’ll come back
and if she asks what I found
I’ll say
‘It’s a mystery.’

and I,
and the others who read with us in spirit,
will know that I wrote this
instead of actually looking.
Because she’s right,
it is a mystery

When Quake came out on June 22, 1996, I was eight years years old. I remember playing it that summer it launched. It's June 23, 2026. My son turns seven (officially) in about 50 minutes. It felt right. Happy birthday, Ben. (also happy birthday Quake)

Captain Larry Michael Teuton, born May 9th, 1954, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 7th, 2017, in the company of his loyal dogs and loving family. An electrician, master craftsman, pilot, and boat captain, Larry also holds the unique distinction of being right about nearly everything he has ever said. He is survived by his wife, Dori, who is a better woman than he ever deserved, and his son, Christopher, who knows that his father held no stock in obituaries.
