I remember the *exact* book I was reading when I first saw the word "scrying" To be fair, it was kind of explained in the book (I still looked it up to be sure I had it right). Even if it hadn't been, it isn't *ableist* to use words not everyone knows Annoying? Sometimes. Ableist? No. c'mon, now

A tiny tuxedo kitten is in your lap, staring up at you. She's super stressed, partly because you're the first human she's ever met and partly because you stopped with the petting to wave a rectangle at her

The same tuxedo girlie, all growed up, is stretched across a bookstore display like a little dragon on her hoard. She still doesn't understand why you can't give her skritches and wave the rectangle at the same time

Netflix's The Boroughs made up a degenerative neurological disorder for Plot Reasons and this is the funniest damn sentence I've heard all week

Two actors from The Boroughs are walking across a large room designed to look like a neighborhood. One is saying to the other (of the fictional Maxwell's Disease), "It causes the brain to literally wither and die."

Black shoes with white & multi-colored trim laced with sparkling black & white “Dense Checker Lacing” (from Veronica C.) These were laced for a friend's daughter, first with regular Checkerboard (which came out too sparse), then with Dense Checker.

White sneakers with black trim laced with green, yellow & red combination of “Half & Half Lacing” and “Loop Back Lacing” (from Piotrek R.) Shifting the loop-backs off-center creates this angled pattern.
