Turns out lightweight laundry totes make great cat beds when ‘accidentally’ knocked on their sides during zoomies.
This floof is 2 cats, part of a litter born under my front steps during the pandemic.
My Becky was, I am convinced, the guardian keeping my pretty from blowing any further than the flowerbed beside the door in &$)@! Midwest gusts today. She kept my lovely new shiny close for me!
I love this, and will likely try something similar - your color choices are great! I might go very, very drape-y and use the Sewing Workshop Plaza jacket as a guide. May I ask, what yarn did you use?
This is a cat checkpoint: relinquish the most recent cat picture on your phone.
@peculiarityshop.bsky.social my pretty, pretty shinies arrived today, and I may or not have pulled out my entire stash of chains and cords to see what does them justice. Thank you!!!!
…and when you’re just done, it may spawn a cat who takes none of your excuses and pats at you until you stop and pet her. 2/2
Here’s my comforting thought. When you’re feeling a little scattered, your desk may spawn a cat. 1/2
Mostly complete double-strand afghan per niece’s color choices, lacking only time and less- sore hands to complete.
Cheap yarn for wash and wear (and don’t worry about cat claws) boxy cardigans
And, I offer a happy cat acting as heating pad and anchor.
Love the shapes, and agree all around! I have this pattern and will be making it in various lengths, necklines, and sleeve lengths. Still need to find the right full-but-not-too-full cropped pant pattern to go with. Minimalist wardrobe a la Simple Isn’t Easy (Amy Fine Collins), fast approaching!
1 for freezer, 1 in fridge to bake tomorrow at 375 for 30? mins. 1# pasta, 4C white sauce w about 2 oz shredded Parm, 3 oz Colby, 8 oz Jack, salt, 12 oz bag broccoli (cooked and picked over for lg stem pieces). Will top w crushed Chex and grated parm, 2:3 ratio, start covered w foil then uncover.
Smitten Kitchen pumpkin bread, 9” sq pan, doubled the topping and used half cinnamon, half cardamom. Ditto in the bread itself - eliminating other elements of pumpkin spice to add cardamom, in almost equal amount, to the cinnamon. 50 mins at 350 in convection toaster oven. Dark spot is just shadow.
Post a random picture or everything goes bad in August…
Yes. There are days when ‘They need me’ has to be enough. And it is.
This cat’s scary blood test results are, we discovered, due to a prescription dose error and NOT a worsening medical issue! (And, she can stay on the transdermal meds rather than 2x/daily body fights over pills.)
