I might be a bit weird but I do enjoy a cemetery wander. I guess that explains why I'm writing a history of ghosts and haunting! Today's walk took me through some of the older graves at Karori, which I love precisely because they're a bit derelict and overgrown. More inspiration for #UncannyCountry.
It's a gloomy, mizzly Saturday afternoon and I'm looking out on a grove of wind-whipped trees, so perfect for writing about ghosts! 👻 Today, I'm reading through some primary sources for the next part of Ch 6 and making brief notes I can start drafting from next week. #amwriting #uncannycountry
Starting my writing day with a cup of Moroccan mint tea from my favourite historical teapot. This one is dedicated to the English Civil War and features the doomed Charles I on this side and Cromwell on the other. Aiming for 🍅🍅 on Ch.6, focusing on spirit photography. #amwriting #UncannyCountry
I have a (very) long list of places I want to visit in Aotearoa, and the goblin forest has now been added. *Photo is from Stuff.
I’m one of the offenders, sorry. Just found out about the #nzpol tag so will use that in future. To atone, here’s a pic of my cat Jonesy. Don’t be fooled, she’s way more trouble than she looks!😺
