Dr. Amish Shah
@dramishshah
Emergency Room Physician. Former Arizona State Representative. Candidate for U.S. Congress in Arizona's 1st District.
As the first week of school wraps up for many Arizona students, I’m wishing our students, teachers, staff, and families a great year ahead. In Congress, I’ll fight for strong public schools, supported teachers, and the resources every Arizona student needs to succeed.
Grateful for the endorsement from Jewish Dems. I remain committed to working with the Jewish community to continue championing our shared values: fighting antisemitism with urgency and safeguarding our nation’s democracy.
I’ve spent decades as an ER doctor helping people on the worst day of their lives. But too many Arizonans can’t afford care, and the Big Ugly Bill made it worse. In Congress, I’ll fight for affordable care. This election is our chance to lower costs—your vote matters. #AZ01
Honored to earn the endorsement of the Committee to Protect Health Care, a national network of physicians amplifying patients’ voices. They push for policies that protect care and expand family freedom — support that means a lot as an ER physician.
Happy International Cat Day! Pet food prices are up thanks to Trump’s Tariffs (which Jay Feely supports) and Arizona families are paying the price. I’m running for Congress to lower costs across the board — for both people and their pets.
Proud to be endorsed by the NRDC Action Fund! In Congress, I'll continue working to lower utility costs while protecting our air and water. #AZ01
Because of the Big Ugly Bill Jay Feely supports, hundreds of thousands of Arizonans are slated to lose their health care, and hospitals across our state are being pushed to the brink. I’m an ER doctor. I see the fallout every shift. I’m running to stop these devastating cuts.
I love knocking doors and meeting neighbors. That’s where I hear your ideas, your stories, and yes, sometimes your frustrations. But that’s exactly why I do it. Hearing directly from the people of AZ‑01 keeps me grounded, and I’m not stopping until we flip this seat.
Today, I’m excited to announce that our campaign has been added to the DCCC’s Red to Blue program. That’s confirmation of what we’ve always known: ✔️ This will be one of the most competitive House races in the country ✔️ We can flip this seat ✔️ The path to a majority runs thru AZ-01
Thank you to every neighbor, friend, family member, colleague, and supporter who showed up last week and throughout this campaign. Your encouragement means so much. If you’d like to get involved, visit amishforarizona.com and fill out the contact form.
Today is Amish’s birthday! Please join us in wishing him a happy birthday, and consider giving him what he really wants this year: a contribution to his campaign to flip AZ-01 and take back the House! https://secure.actblue.com/donate/amishforarizona-social?refcode=birthday26
I’m a grassroots candidate, and this primary win belongs to Arizona voters. Now I’m earning support from every corner of the district. Washington’s status quo is failing Arizonans, and after serving this community in the ER and State House, I’m ready to fight for them in Congress.
Today is AZ’s primary election. If you haven’t voted yet, it’s time to make your voice heard. Let’s flip this district once and for all with a Democratic candidate guided by integrity, ready to put AZ families first. Vote Dr. Amish Shah to be the Representative in AZ’s 1st Congressional District.
Old‑style politics: knocking doors, real conversations, and the occasional selfie. Tomorrow is Election Day. If you haven’t voted yet, be sure to make your voice heard in this race! #AZElectionDay
Grassroots campaigns are built on meeting voters, not dark‑money attacks. DC insiders and AIPAC‑backed super PACs are flooding this race with false ads. It’s an affront to democracy. Read more: theintercept.com/2026/07/15/a...
72 hours until polls close and we’re still pushing. Knocking doors is the best part of my week—even in 100° heat. Meeting people, hearing their stories, and feeling the energy build as the primary gets closer keeps me going.
For a decade, I've served and listened to voters in this district. Meanwhile, the DCCC has spent nearly $500,000 backing a self-described "lifelong Republican" in this primary instead of focusing on defeating Republicans. It's time to restore integrity. I'd be honored to earn your vote.
I’ve always run grassroots campaigns — 28,000 doors, face-to-face conversations and connections with voters. Now, DC insiders have dumped over $3 million of dark money into ads that lie about my record. On Tuesday, you get to choose between a grassroots candidate and an establishment pick.
Morning, Noon, or Night — No matter the hour, there's a good chance you'll see a familiar face. Thank you to everyone proudly displaying a yard sign and helping spread the word. And thank you to everyone casting their ballots in this election! Let’s go win this thing!
Thank you to the Scottsdale Liberal Women's Group for such a warm welcome and an engaging conversation. Grassroots organizations like this play an important role in bringing neighbors together, encouraging people to get involved, and making sure every voice is heard.
AZ summers don't make door knocking easy, but neighbors like Kari Workman make every mile worth it. Thank you for inviting me back after seeing my flyer and for such a thoughtful conversation. And thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Khoo for the warm welcome. Every conversation is a chance to earn your trust.
In the AZ House, I didn’t see parties; I saw problems to solve. That’s how we got results: working across the aisle on healthcare, public safety, and lowering costs. Gridlock isn’t inevitable; it’s a choice. We can do better. I’m running for Congress to focus on solutions and actually deliver.
Honored to have the support of 314 Action Fund. As an ER doctor, I’ve seen what happens when politicians ignore science: patients pay the price. Arizona deserves leaders who follow facts and will work to lower costs and actually fix what’s broken. Let’s get to work.
Yesterday I stood with Arizonans tired of being ignored. Too many families feel unheard and left behind. I’m running for Congress to change that—because Arizona deserves leadership that shows up, listens, and fights for real change. ✍🏽 Join us: www.amishforarizona.com/takeaction
60 years ago, Medicare & Medicaid became law-transforming healthcare. On July 4, 2025, a new law was signed, cutting $1T from Medicaid, the largest reduction in its history. The CBO says 17M Americans will lose coverage. Healthcare is a right. We must do better. #ProtectMedicare
