Wearing my “all creatures great and small” inspired Elizabeth Zimmerman vest right now!
Contemplating my next Cast on-will probably not write anything down but something new will be on the needles tonight.
Previous Malabrigo mohair KAL under silk teacher gift in progress. Self soothing with yarn.
Restarting my Rockpool Candy pebble rug. There are probably 3-4 more hiding around the house, but this was this afternoon’s effort. #crochet
#ShowMeYourKnits shawls is this absolute masterpiece for Malabrigo KAL 2022 and Gabriella Calderini-a designer and math professor you should all know about. This was a design sample and I do need to make one to keep. Pattern is La Mondiola Wrap.
#ShowMeYourKnits New cast on is a drop shoulder seed stitch pullover, and I am using a thrifted sweater as my inspiration for the shape. Thrilled to use fingering and mohair stash/scrap from my frogged find your fade/Penguono purchases.
#ShowMeYourKnits Sheepcamp wip. Second sleeve should be done this weekend!
“I have been doing it for six years and no-one has complained” is not the flex you think it is. #AmEditing
Both kids cast on and made some stitches today. I was scared to teach them bc they are lefties and I didn’t want them to get frustrated with me. Anyone else out there have memories of sports/craft/driving lessons with parents that left you crushed?
Really enjoyed Second chance convenience store by Kim Ho-Yeon.
This is taking a very long time. I will be ripping back this ribbing to a) be symmetrical around the v and b) line up with body stripes. The ribbing has twisted stitches, which I DO NOT like knitting. I will probably attempt to just frog 20 ish sts in the middle, but it might not work out. Grumble.
2025 Temperature blanket has been frogged twice. Now I am trying Sophie’s Universe and it is definitely more enjoyable. #crochet
#ShowMeYourKnits this week is yellow: this is my favourite with HHF yarn from a 2017 fade kit, @jaqcieslak.bsky.social Osprey (I think). This has been frogged, but I have plans for this yarn.
Yarnies-I know I have reached SABLE for yarn, but I think I also have sufficient bay leaves. #stashFlashers
Sainte-Honoré from Éclaire de Lune for a special treat today.
#ShowMeYourKnits this week is grey! Two sweaters, ALEX kids by Christine Rouville @Woumardis, both in De Rerum Natura Candide, which is wool and recycled cotton. Christine sent me the blue one and yarn for the grey. 🐭
No school this week means we can wobble on the full sheet of ice!
Didn’t manage a blog post this week, but this describes my day job. Happy book birthday @larkspurknits.bsky.social . #Trails&Valleys available where fine yarns and books are sold!
This time I am ready for #ShowMeYourKnits hearts!! Missed cables and stripes somehow. Self drafted sock monkey pullover using stash.
Bobcat came to visit this afternoon! Sitting on the fence top left. Time to get the camera handy, phone camera and dirty windows didn’t cut it.
When you make dinner how many bottles of hot sauce are on the table? Stir-fry tonight so we have chili crisp, sriracha and frank’s (we have it decanted here) 🤣
Saw #DogManMovie today so it’s as good a time as any to share this. I knit it in 2017ish mostly on my flatbed Bond machine, with yarn from a sweater my husband’s grandmother made him. I winged the pattern, but made it big enough so it would fit the littlest onion for a while.
Sending this off to another little one today. I had to secure the goggles this morning, and was surprised at the teeny hand stitches I managed 6 years ago when sleeping through the night was still a distant possibility. #HandMeDowns #sewing #PawPatrol
#ShowMeYourKnits Sweaters! Let’s start with this knitosophy design (testknit from 2019?).
