Guess I'm making more fig stuff today... picked another 7kg yesterday. Already handed out 3.5kg (the box), so about half (on the paper and in the bowl) to go. Think it will be a coulis for in yoghurt that has less sugar than jam as it doesn't need to thicken that much. And it's all from 1 tree!
Another 11.5kg of figs. Going to freeze 8kg (front two crates that are now further drying in the sun, and then give them to people to make jam or whatever. And 3.5kg for more chutney for ourselves... maybe some jam too, let's see...!
And another 3 whole figs used up. Some weird attempt at a very quick focaccia for dinner tonight. Not a proper one, dough too wet. But, figs and goats cheese are a great combo.
And these are the 3kg of jam I made, it is lovely. They go on top of the other 3kg that's now in the freezer. Think I'll have to make more jam and just hand them out to strangers in the streets...!

IT IS DONE. The bedroom is now ready to get a wardrobe, then skirting boards, and then a bed and then we have a finished* bedroom! *the ensuite toilet still needs doing, but we're treating that as a separate room. Might be painting that tomorrow though!
This is a telling headline. I do wonder what would happen if the protest satirical candidate wins. It's easy enough to now make fun of it, hop on the bandwagon, call for support, and all that shit. But seriously, it is a sad state of affairs that the UK has reached this point...
Monday I made 3.5kg fig chutney. Tuesday I brought 3kg of figs to our language class to share with other students. Today I picked 5kg more figs and this is only the beginning... This afternoon I'm making endless amounts of fig-orange jam I guess...
Making 2.5kg of fig chutney. And this was just 5 minutes of picking the now ripe easy to reach walking around the tree figs....
Oh how I do miss being at Silverstone for the weekend. It was always such a brilliant weekend. Expensive, yes, but basically our only real splurge. Thursday to Sunday entertainment sorted, walking about, drinking luke warm Stella (the best to drink lukewarm imho). #BritishGP #F1
The wildfire map looks concerning for the Northern Hemisphere... There's a big out-of-control one here 'nearby' that is expanding west quickly because of the wind. >1000 operators, 10 planes/helicopters... This is going to be a very long fire season... Next two weeks will be critical.
