Huge nerd (weather, hockey, sci-fi, RUSH, Transformers, RWBY, all kinds of music)! Jersey collector, synth musician, okay artist, fatigue manager, parrot wrangler. Just Say No To Fash. He/Him.
Lovely little storm tonight; tried to get some lightning pics behind this plane (done up in classic Trans Canada Air Lines livery, no less) but couldn't get a proper CG in the background no how. Still some nice lighting!
Sometimes the lighting and the angle are just right and I like to think that I'm watching a spaceship launch.
@ryannorth.ca Dear Ryan, I am very sorry it has taken me this long to realize that you were on Bluesky and to then immediately follow you. Please accept this photo of something I made many moons ago but is now back on display in my basement and that I know you share an affinity for. U rule, Dal
I give Dr. Wily an annual ass kicking. Gradius 3 for SNES may have the greatest soundtrack of any video game ever. Show me another game I can whack dudes with a wrench. LPB2 is maybe the most fun I've had with a platformer (and you can whack your family with a frying pan that goes *SPANG*).
This is Nepeta basking in the sunlight. It's really the best thing to do in sunlight, I gather. 😁
This is not a Mini-Wheat. There is absolutely nothing "mini" about this. This is just a Wheat. Or maybe just some kind of Frankenwheat.
We flirted with this sort of thing a few years ago here in Canada with our Kraft Dinner (same thing, different name) with such experiments as Cotton Candy and Poutine. At best, it "got in your mouth". I'm quietly hopeful yours is better than that. P.S. - I added Alt Text for further description
You mean Tim Curry, the guy who voiced Mastermind and sang all of the songs in Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights for the PS2?
I got one of these once when I was 8. Almost put me off of beer for life. If you're gonna give a kid a beer, the least you could do is give him something decent like a Labatt 50 (hey it was 1984; not like we had a thousand options back then like we do now).
HUMAN artists, use only one #art piece to convince people to follow you!
I had this issue; my dental hygienist suggested I look into HiSmile toothpastes because they have proper fluoride amounts (unlike the kids ones I was using) and let me tell you, they're phenomenal! We bought five amazing flavours and we'll happily keep buying from them!
Whelan's work is absolutely mind-blowing and he's a great guy, too. Have a print of his hanging up in the living room!
Our new doorbell. Not sure how many of you out there are fans but the men who hold high places might approve? #RUSH
Would you be interested in my alien pirate troll OC, Felida Oceleo? Probably my most popular character in my fics; I'm sure lots of folks would love to see your take on her? Her horns resemble lynx ears if that helps? Blind eye under the scar. Thanks and look forward to seeing all your new art!
I just love getting visits from the Buster Poindexter Truck at work. #HowYouFeelin?
You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you? I'll very likely be saved but the odds are good I'll be covered in blood or worse in the process. Or possibly cursed. I'm okay with this.
So the Cineplex theatres in Regina have been running Fire-and-Brimstone evangelical junk as an ad before movies. Miss me with that shit, Cineplex. I took the time to let them know I wasn't happy and I suggest others who don't want to see religious indoctrination do the same so they know it's not ok.
My cousin is a big McCartney guy. I don't troll often but I took some pleasure in telling him, "Dude, all of the good Beatles are dead." This song is why I say that. I make a point of trying to get through every Xmas season without hearing it. I'm still good so far this year. 🤞
imgs.xkcd.com/comics/metar... I haven't called Funnel Clouds and Freezing Volcanic Ash In The Vicinity yet this year but winter's still young...
@beth.bsky.social Have you seen this? Odd that they're trying this in winter when a lot of us aren't looking at it. Smells like an attempt at cuts. Basically, MSC is considering ending the FOCN45 CWWG bulletins which are incredibly useful. I'm sending an email; pls pass it on to other weather folks!
Drop that Lock Screen! My tribute to one hell of a good man, Neil Peart. Closest thing I think I've ever come to something resembling "Art".
Meet Vega (who likes to defy gravity) and Nepeta (who likes to boof her face into the couch for reasons).
Rush, R40, Calgary in 2015. A reverse chronological concert as the stage changed to reflect their earlier shows throughout the concert, culminating with songs from their first album on a stage that looked like a high school gym. Absolutely brilliant.
"post a character you like with pink hair" I'm probably gonna get blowback for this one but I *LIKE* Ram. There's a big dollop of a Wednesday Addams type in her: sharp tongue, sharper wit but a surprising amount of heart deep inside. No idea why there are a bunch of figurines of her smiling/cutesy?
Hope you don't mind a feathery one in the mix. We recently lost our Nahla (black, left) so I know where you're coming from. There are some hard days ahead but there will be some filled with joyful memories in time, too. Condolences to you and yours; we think of your friend today, friend.
BEHOLD!!! Our newest addition to the front step horrors (along with the zombie flamingo and squirrel), thanks to my lovely wife Kat's sheer will and determination to get her Beholder pumpkin finished before this evening!
