Right. New sander, new drill bits, same simmering annoyance! Hopefully tomorrow will go smoother.
Well that's fucking great isn't it. Fuck this fucking deck and fuck DIY. God damn it I am so angry right now, I hate doing this stuff fuck fuck FAAACK
Belt sander is helpfully malfunctioning, so that's the board prep for today interrupted. Ggaahh. Managed to do some work on the bits I can for now. Pain in the arse.
Now that they've (mostly) sorted out his colours, this is without question the best Hot Rod figure I own. Absolutely brilliant.
TFN commissions - a selection of my fave sketches I managed! Prowl, Longarm, and Ironhide. Always grateful to get a chance to draw for people.
Faintly odd still seeing scars of lockdown around, from a pandemic the world just someday decided it couldn't push back against. A bench in work, with the visible marks of tape forbidding you to sit there...
First coat of oil on the deck board that also includes the first part of the drain access hatch. Next to it, another old board that's about to start its sanding journey...
Another unsolicited deck pic. Two more boards duh-duh-duh down. Next board will require a wee bit more thought, cos of the drain.
Feeling appropriate for presenting a Unicron toy panel in a few days.
£17 from Bargain Max... Ok. I'm happy with that for a slightly more accurate Galvatron. And I swapped that opaque cannon with my comics deco version. So I think that works. Should probably grab a DNA SS86 Galvy upgrade kit someday
Stop scrolling and post your FOUR favorite characters from modern #StarTrek.
The four cut/treated/oiled scaffold boards are now officially in place. Next step - more boards to prep.
Teenage me would have been crazy excited by this, but mid-forties me feels oddly meh about receiving this today.
That's Alpha Trion's shoulders made into a health'n'safety nightmare. Thanks @gworks.bsky.social and @nonnefprod.bsky.social! You guys rock, as always.
Been a while since I drew Bruce Outback, but I need to procrastinatedly avoid my day job and my deadlined TFN work somehow I guess.
Applying a first coat of deck oil to the first batch of decking boards. Hope this works!
Picked up a starship model today, to channel my inner Benjamin Sisko.
