It makes me so happy to watch this footage 🤩 even when she’s less animated because the song is sad! I can’t hold back a tear at the beginning of this piece because she is the only sound ringing out around the theatre for a short while and I’m bursting with pride and gratitude ❤️
She really is! I would say she’s this expressive because she’s on stage and needs to be, but she’s actually like this anyway 🤩 When she isn’t using both hands on the keys she conducts in the screen space to her right. Otherwise it’s all head nods 😂
My lovely girl on stage playing keys, conducting and having the time of her life as Assistant Musical Director on Six the Musical She has a camera on her throughout that is projected back towards the stage for the cast and band to see and has a mic to count / talk directly to them I love this ❤️
What a magical & unifying experience… 💞 The lovely consultant I work with had a pair of eclipse glasses, which he shared with a group of 50 or so medics, patients, & passers by gathering outside and a colleague on our unit took this amazing photo through the glasses with his phone 📸 Dr Pravesh
The Holocaust Tower in the Jewish Museum. It’s a dark, starkly angled, unheated room with a single shaft of light. There is a ladder, beginning high up the stone wall, a long way beyond reach. The architecture in this building has almost no right angles providing a sense of psychological discomfort
Shalekhet (fallen leaves) in the Jewish Museum in Berlin. I recorded the eerie clattering sound a few minutes before taking this photo, when other museum visitors walked across the 10,000 scattered iron faces that represent the victims of the Holocaust
That is what makes this trail so life-changing - the people around it *are* the the Pennine Way, and seeing their love and kindness is a wonderful reminder of the beautiful side of human nature, something we all need more of right now
A huge shout-out to the gutsy pacers, trail angels & fairies who showed up to pace Jack, share encouraging words, bring ice, provide moral support, or offer any kind of help Jack needed.
Despite this being an outcome that no-one wanted, we had some fabulous successes out there and I am in awe of what Jack achieved running in relentless sun and heat
Jack was brave, determined and honest during this run. He shared his vulnerable times completely, something that allows his team to help to the full. Working in this role as road crew allows a truly up-close position that works only via mutual trust. It’s an honour every time.
We used just shy of 21kg of ice in an attempt to keep him cool. But replenishing those game-changing ice bandanas needed to be happening way more frequently than road heads allowed. Heat exhaustion and all the gut complications that can come with it, was constantly lurking just around the corner.
Jack’s PW record attempt was one heck of a job Jack, like his forerunners on this trail, is a thoughtful person. He has a tangible connection to the Pennine Way that resonates with so many of us. It really was quite something to watch him push against the unbearable temperatures yesterday. 🧵
He’s pulled something extraordinary out of the bag today. The heat has been unbearable at times. So bloody proud of him and the amazing pacers who are out with him #JSPWFKT #PennineWay #Record
Byrness. Quick run through grabbing some ham, cheese, bread & butter and more fluids. Ice bandana on. His head is in the game. He knows what he has to do #JSPWFKT #PennineWay #Record
Bit late with this but he was OUTSTANDING! 9:20:34 or thereabouts 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 #JNC PS I’m so sorry for the screeching voice behind the camera. I was confidently watching the road and suddenly heard a very familiar voice just to my left! Unpredictable little blighter is @ultradamo.bsky.social
