As the world slides ever closer to a series of catastrophic tipping points, I took a walk in the bluebell wood today. As close to heaven as it’s possible to get. We could have such a beautiful world if we looked after it & each other. Naive. I know.

Very stressed today as the full scale of the catastrophe unfolding in the world reveals itself. So I went for a walk. It was very wintry & cold but it helped my state of mind. Here’s the view as I walked on a ridge looking west towards the Welsh border & Black Mountains.

This is a main road in Herefordshire, UK today in the aftermath of #StormBert. Village’s completely cut off by flooding. I’ve seen floods before in this part of the world but not like this, or so early in the winter.

I’m half way from London to Australia and very happy to have a few hours on the ground while I try to gather all my molecules together. I’m in China. This is what it looks like outside the airport. Instant, crashing depression & guilt for my own contribution to the horror.

First thing I’ve knitted in about 30 years but the arrival of a grandchild was a great prompt. I surprised myself by still being able to do it.

Good morning. The last crop of squash. Now to work out what to do with it.
