They were actually several lovely exhibits at the Jewish Museum in New York City, but I originally went at least in part to see what @samantharhill.bsky.social has called “The Chicken of History” in person.

Hearing about the concept of voluntary redundancy reminded me of a passage in this book: "if you give him a sacrificial victim you collaborate with him, you vindicate him—and the inhuman choice he's trying to force on you turns into something quite reasonable. Generous, even."
