Housemate leaves while I am making coffee. Dog comes out and lays on the couch nearby. I finish making coffee and go back downstairs. "How long", I think, "will it be before she gets lonely and joins me?" Two minutes. The answer is two minutes.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, specifically *because* of the lights, and I couldn't do another year without something in my space. So this was my solution. The tree had white lights in it, but I pulled the base off and stuffed 32 ft of fairy lights into it. It's working wonders for my mood.
As someone who lived in Atlanta for the 1996 Olympics, incomprehensible design choices seem to be par for the course. 😬
