Am I still alive

Should I jump out this window?

Bipolar is always a ride. It affects your ability to get life insurance, because we keep jumping out of windows. In one day I can think “this is the best day ever” but 2 hours later, I consider jumping out of a window.

/different types of windows:

I often look out the window. Different ones. Is this high enough to die on impact? Are there people around? No children? Would I pass out first? Or would I just break my leg and lie there in agony?

I often think of the suicides which are hereditary to my family, but that’s another story.

I had a friend in high school who jumped out a window. He hit a rich man’s BMW and then that man sued my friend’s mom for damages to his car. It’s that kind of world.

But I’ll always remember what happened afterward. The tearful funeral speech of his best friend. The open casket. How many people his life had touched, mine included.

I know how it destroys the lives of the people you leave behind. I have been one of them, lately and more than once. My family and friends already have enough experience with this, so I think of them first. But I would never blame those who make the choice to go. Sometimes, even with medication, the weight is just too heavy.

Bill Hargrove, teen stinker and generally unfriendly recluse, leans heavily on anger and nastiness to keep people from getting too close to him, a problem his love interest Onion will do his best to rectify. Bill is in a grey hoodie and jeans, and a few full body poses show him with a magical looking blue sword. (a sword with a name, a good name, for later in the story.)

It's all a circle, onion sprout. You, me, any of this? We're perennial, just like grass that grows and dies away again. Can you see how I mean?

The father and son are Ronnie and Onion, from the graphic novel Blue Hollow. Their relationship is something treasured. You get the sense Ronnie has the wiseness of a wizard, and the kindness of an angel, or is this only a child's perspective? Onion jogs to keep up with him, a trail of chicks following him from the chicken coop.

all four teen protagonists for the graphic novel Blue Hollow are sitting on an old busted floral couch in a grassy field in the bright daytime. Boone Campbell, long brown hair in a blue cutoff, sits on the arm of the couch looking down at Cookie the dog as she jumps up to greet him. Maple Choi, bike shorts and pink socks, throws a loose arm over the back of the couch with a sardonic smirk. Onion Pendergrass, brown hair, ripped jeans with a camo jacket, leans forward on the edge of the couch with a hopeful smile. Just behind him, back flush with the couch, Bill Hargrove, in a gray hoodie and bare feet, offers a tired smile. His toes barely caress the outside of Onion's knee. Butterflies speckle the scene. Everybody is happy... They have a certain easy closeness.

a questionably dumb young man with center parted long brown hair and a letterman jacket nervously twists a gold crucifix around one finger. Boone Campbell, age 17, is one of the main teenage protagonists from the graphic novel, Blue Hollow. He likes fast cars, the lord, and collecting rare beetles, but these simple things became dramatically less simple when he helped perpetrate a crime against his best friend Onion that left him emotionally stunted, socially regressive and mentally lost. Suffering from the regrets of this past horrible transgression, Boone will do everything in his power now to make things right with Onion again. Now if he can only figure out what to do first......

Bill Hargrove, age 16, is one of the 3 teenage protagonists of the graphic novel Blue Hollow. He is mixed race, dressed in a formal sweater in slacks, but he's unkempt and off-kilter, throwing a leg over the arm of a chair with a bravado that speaks of a loss of patience. Cookie the dog stands guard at his knee. Bill is a very tired young man who is mentally unwell for a variety of reasons (ghost and/or family-related), and the illustration shows him reclined in an armchair in the library in evening, suggestively splitting the pages of a book open while looking up at you. You're not sure if what he has to say will be sarcastic or heartbreaking.

She just barely touches the surface of black water with a toe, and a sheer shroud over her head blows in the wind. Behind her is a mighty weeping willow on flat black. She is someone very important, but kept a treasured secret away from the prying eyes of anyone who once knew her.
