On July 11 2026 marks 31 years since the Srebrenica genocide. 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were systematically murdered. This date is also marked the inaugural UN International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, honoring victims and condemning denial.
I have had a fantastic time at the British Criminology Conference in Nottingham ✨️ It was an absolute pleasure presenting alongside Katy Proctor. There were so many brilliant panels I wished I could have cloned myself to attend them all 🧠 #Criminology #AcademicChatter #BSCConference #Nottingham

My favourite place in #Istanbul was the Basilica Cistern! A 6th-century marvel that was once used for storing water for the city. This ancient underground reservoir, built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I, has 336 columns & haunting Medusa Heads. It was so cool/calming beneath the busy streets 💙
#Caturday I love how dramatic my kitten already is. Every morning if I start making coffee before feeding her she lays like this on the kitchen floor until I stroke and feed her 💕
Attending the World Decolonization Forum has been a profoundly inspiring experience. It has been an honor to engage with scholars & activists worldwide, bridging gaps between theoretical discourse & actionable strategies to dismantle colonial legacies in academia, policy & media #knowledge #academia

Eid Mubarak to everyone around the world🌙✨ May this blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr bring peace and unity 🤍🕊 As we celebrate, we hold the oppressed, particularly in Palestine, Lebanon and Sudan in our hearts and duas ❤️🩹 #EidMubarak #EidalFitr
It is good to see the Women and Equalities Committee Report. I was part of the Liverpool group. The quote by me 'Liverpool is my home. I don't feel safe in my city anymore' this came after two direct verbal racist incidents. There is so much needed to tackle this discrimination.
Hugely grateful to be recognised as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (RHS) in recognition of my contribution to historical scholarship ✨️ Thankyou Daniel Grey for your support as both a friend & mentor in my academic journey. #HistoricalCriminology @djrgrey.bsky.social

My sons are adults now but I still get excited finding conkers reminds me of searching for them when they were younger. They would make a hole, put string through them and play conkers. #parenting #childhoodmemories
