Actually I like labels, I like being labeled and put into a demographic, I think it's cool that others can create an external and impersonal idea or image of me detached from my individual personhood boiling me down to pure data that can be used against me for political or financial gain and manipulated with media to change how the public perceives me, I love purchasing product and supporting causes marketed towards those sharing similar data to me

🎲✂️ Did some playtesting for X-Booster, a climbing/shedding/trick-taking game that simulates the experience of playing a tag fighter (eg Marvel vs Capcom, BBTAG, DBFZ, etc). Play your cards right and you can juggle your opponent to death before they even get a chance to fight back!

Gundam Card Game doing a blanket restriction on 1-cost vanilla 2/2s to prevent people from running like 20 of them per deck. lol Like the game's basic rules definitely have issues but they wouldn't have problems with vanillas to this extent if card effects actually did anything.

Would've joined them but I was pretty tired at the time. Didn't realize it was an annual thing. Seeing all the posts on twitter mourning its loss makes me wish I joined them for it at some point before all this happened.

Heard about what happened with Midnight Mahjong at AX. Seems like they've been like building up a crowd of niche fan interests like wotagei and fighting games. Sucks that it was apparently ruined by hypebeasts that can't read the room. Pic is from when I ran into them a couple years ago.

Every time I look at what's going on with Gundam Card Game, like 95% of the cards have these overengineered effects where you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to eke out a tiny incremental advantage. It's honestly really corny.

imo more yuri fans should get into jojimuke anime, especially like Pretty Series (like Pretty Rhythm or Pripara, not Precure) which has a bunch of canon* LGBT characters (*ie: some characters are unambiguously gay but they're not gonna straight up say it because watchdog groups will complain)

Moreover, despite using ads featuring young children, the primary beneficiaries were 17- and 18-year-olds seeking gap-year trips to Israel and their families.[52] Landau testified that Kars4Kids had spent $437,000 on "Middle East outreach", and $16.5 million on a building in Israel. Apkarian issued a permanent injunction banning Kars4Kids from using their jingle in ads in California until the charity gave "an express, audible disclosure" of its religious affiliation and of the location and age range of its primary recipients. The injunction also banned the use of images of prepubescent children to solicit donations for people who have reached the age of majority.[52][53]

At this point, it's pretty clear that Needy Girl Overdose anime is basically just arthouse for arthouse's sake, and I think that's great. Author nyalra was basically given full license to be as self-indulgent as they want and they're doing just that. Every episode so far has been a treat.

Problem is I haven't looked at it in so long that I kinda forgot how it feels to play it and needed a refresher.

🎲✂️ Did some playtesting last night: 1. Horse-racing game. 3 rounds of alternating between a Training Phase where you do Rise of Augustus-style bingo to power up your horse and a Racing Phase where you sit back and watch it race. Went pretty well. Couple issues but nothing really egregious so far.
