This day in 1962 I joined the Police. Just turned 16, voice hardly broken, not fully shaving - a child. Over the next 39 years I had adventures, experiences and saw things which no one should see. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. All those moments will be lost in time....
5k on a special day with my daughter - and 65 miles with her ten years ago....
When the Fab Four came to our farm to celebrate my 21st Birthday. Only three of us left now.....
Laxey - lovely. It will still be here in a million years. The ice creams will not be as good though.
Just started my Easter Egg. A bit late I know but I think all that crucifixion tragedy will have died down a bit by now and there are no more ginger nuts left in the cupboard so needs must.
Approaching the same birthday as felon Trump a couple of weeks after him. This is what I do most days to make sure that I outlive him and get to see him in prison and then see the day when Champagne corks pop and there is dancing in the streets
Setting out my vegetable garden using binder twine from the farm when we used to use a binder (mower) which cut and tied up sheaves of corn. This twine is at least 70 years old

March 4th - first buds on the horse chestnuts at Governor's Bridge. March 20th leaves now fully out - the first tree in leaf. Spring Equinox is here -

The rain has relented! First ride of 2026 to volunteer shift at Citizens’ Advice where we heard of the unrelenting ‘rain’ in the lives of other people. Today included divorce, bullying at work and poverty
Shocked that there as many as 22 in those ten years in the UK. Should be much lower.
Hard to believe I know, but I just saw the first patch of blue sky in 2026.
The damage to the sea wall after yesterday's thundering high tide and winds on my way to the volunteer shift at Citizens' Advice. Problems today include- yet another example of poor property management; then the reverse. possible tenant taking advantage of landlord; dispute over ownership of lane
