no big events look like the mtgo challenges tho. durress crew summer regional: 126 players, 7% shrimp, top finish 19th. gp louisville: 134 players, 5% shrimp, top finish 31st australian nationals: 97 players, 7% shrimp, top finish 7th. coppa etrusca: 138 players, 4% shrimp, top finish 51st.
also the issue clearly isn't that people can't afford shrimp in paper. lobstercon 2026 had 32 stiflenought lists, that is 12% of the room and the largest metashare. pretty similar to online. the difference is results. there were 0 stiflenought in the top 16. i think the best result was 26th?

when speculating on what in-universe sets we might get next year i think there are a number of good reasons why alara could be expected, but my main focus is the dramatic shift in how maro discusses the difficulties of doing a revisit. the challenges from 7 years ago are just seemingly gone...?
wrong! there is no minimum age for piloting an ultralight! in fact, there are no requirements of any kind, at all! no license! no training! no tests! you can build one in your backyard and let a random kid from your neighborhood take flight. it's madness and i think about it constantly. 😵💫
everybody has strange little obsessions and one of mine is these funny little hang glider planes. ✈️ they're called "ultralights" and were in a lot of movies when i was growing up, most notably 'fly away home' where a child uses one to escort a flock of geese. but a child can't fly a plane...right?

myntasha is incredible. what packs do you use? i think the other booster based cards are all pretty popular, but if any of them was tournament legal people might be less excited about the cost of usage.
these two cards have a lot in common 🚩alliances 🚩rare creature 🚩three colors 🚩three abilities 🚩reserved list 🚩great art but unlike phelddagrif (and lord of tresserhorn) for some reason wandering mage isn’t a legend…so it’s extremely unlikely most people are even aware it exists. 🦛 🧙
our house had a (largely defunt) metal air intake grate smack in the middle of the entranceway. it was unsightly, rattled, and (most importantly) scared our dog. so we swapped it out with a trapdoor/wood vent. we need to sand/refinish the floor around it, but our dog will now walk on it: success. 🐶
