My daughter took this photo just minutes ago, they've been camping at Crescent Bar on the Columbia River. The air quality is 416. In Seattle it's 69 and it's really hazy. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. They're telling us to stay inside. Plus tomorrow is supposed to be hottest day of the year

This is the sky from my sister in law's house near the Grand Coulee Dam and the Kaiser Canyon fire. It's more than 65 sq miles. They're having 35 mph winds and a couple of new fires near Airway Heights, Mead and Spokane with several ordered evacuations. Very scary

My mother in law was a WAC in England and after the war was stationed in France. She joined because her father wouldn't pay for a female to go to college. She went to U of Detroit on GI bill and U of MI for masters and was an elementary school teacher in suburban Detroit for nearly 40 years.

I grew up, raised my kids and still live in West Seattle. I wore my Grantifa tshirt to the farmer's market today.
