Just trying to look after the family tree . Chatting about RPGs . Making terrible music . Looking at archaeology and gardens
Dorothy Wordsworth wrote a journal describing the doings of the Wordsworth household and the nature and beauty observed along the way - these inspired William's poetry.
"On that best portion of a good man’s life, His little, nameless, unremembered, acts Of kindness and of love" The Wordsworths' Dove Cottage, near Grasmere...
Seems familiar... Probably because these were available since 1936, until only recently
Did I enthuse about seeing This Is The Kit yet? A joy filled show in Bristol. We were treated to most of their favourites and they played great new songs, too.
Looking forward, looking back. Something satisfying about the way the reflections line up: the bannister and the gable timbers. The Philadelphus is in bloom, sending it's scent out on the summer breeze
Jesca Hoop backed by Rozi Plain with Rachel Rimmer (of Hot Springs) out of shot. At Bristol Lantern. Brilliant
Wildlife can be helped and many new advocates created by well run zoos... but probably better to protect their habitats? Bristol zoo has made an appealing new home for it's gorrillas

A clock in Gloucester cathedral. From the Trumpian school of good taste. A hint of preprotestant bling. Star signs around the edge. Saints on earth. Is it someone taking up a spear or pushing it away? The dude with the spear has Roman sandals...
I read/thought of Goldbug Variations - the tiny cricket from Richard Scary's Busy Town, which must be searched for in unexpected places
An alternative: My grandmother tutted through Jurassic Park, and at the end, when Dicky Attenborough was having a moment reflecting on the insect in amber, she sighed "oh, he's looking at that now"
How long before my lot confiscate these cheery little dudes? Do you think they are creepy?
