The No Kings rallies are widely called out for being dominated by the "nice white liberals" who fail to act to challenge white privilege, prejudice, discrimination, racialized social systems effectively. Recall this mid-20th century model from sociologist Robert Merton that highlighted the issue.

Several hundred people turned out on a cold clear evening to remember Renée Good & oppose ICE kidnappings. Medford, OR, (majority of voters are Trump/MAGA, a "red" county)

This was Waldo...not great photo, but the resemblance is clear. He would jump up on the sink & wait for me to turn on the faucet for him. He weighed in at 15 pounds, perhaps a British shorthair. A rescue cat, in Iowa. Deceased in 2001.
I will join you. Remembering dear departed Vera, my last but beloved cat.
