What a busy last week in DC.

Another day, another night of drills.

Caught the last showing of Backrooms at my local theater. We were the only people in the space. It was very liminal.

I was stupid busy with work this week and dumbass me decided that casually smoking two racks of ribs was (and I quote my brain), no big deal. 🍽️

Going on hour twelve of my 7.5lb pork shoulder smoke. Crispy bark is the end goal as we bring it all together to the BBQ tomorrow at the fire station. 🍽️

Mum: well at least you don't need to cook dinner for yourself on your birthday. Me: uhhhhh... What if I want to??? 🍽️

Sunday smoking 😎 in this glorious Pittsburgh weather! I swear by the 0-400f wing smoking method. Never fails. 🍽️

Up and at'em for a new season of Kennywood.

So happy to report I was able to take my smoker apart, replace the heating element for $20, and save myself a grand to replace it. Dry brining ten lbs of wings overnight and then giving it a full run. 🍽️
