Iranian media have published several images of US/Israeli cluster munition dispensers and submunitions reportedly deployed during the war.
US has posted several photos showing jets equipped with dispensers that can dispense BLU-91/B mines, which Bellingcat previously identified in an Iranian village on March 26. These photos were taken on April 2, so it appears the US may be continuing to deploy these mines in Iran.

CENTCOM is contradicting BBC and NYT reporting that PrSM missiles hit Lamerd, Iran, killing 21 people. CENTCOM is claiming the video shows a Hoveyzeh missile, and is too long to be a PrSM. The shape, and dimensions aren't consistent with CENTCOM's claim.

A manufacturing date on a single component does not mean the missile was assembled at that time. This just determines the oldest possible a munition could be. You can put a component made in 2000 in a missile you assemble in 2005. Good reminder these munitions have toxic metals (yellow).
This Patriot remnant was posted with the claim it was manufactured in 2000, and a 26 year old missile. The 2000 date, and information in the red box is related to the classification of the component, not the production dates. x.com/iwasnevrhere...

DoD has posted several photos of munitions being loading onto aircraft participating in strikes again Iran, including JSOWs, 500-pound bombs, 2,000-pound 'bunker busters', and several Tomahawks being launched by the USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. These photos were taken February 28 according to DVIDS.

This quote about "obliterating matter" isn't unique to thermobaric explosives, it's the same effect from the shock wave. The shock wave from thermobaric explosions typically last longer, but don't reach as high of a peak pressure as conventional explosives.

This picture going around is BORTAC training with the US military. CBP doesn't have mortars. A less lethal munitions launcher, like a 40mm launcher, can be fired in the air and the munitions will fall back down like in the video.
This is probably a Skat Shell fired at a high angle. A Skat Shell dispenses four different submunitions when fired that each emit smoke or chemical irritant.
Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) cleared two unexploded MK-82 500-pound bombs they say were dropped in December 2025. One of the bombs has a M905 tail fuze which is visibly damaged.
