On A Sunbeam by Tillie Walden Gorgeous! Ethereal! Emotional! One of those books that fills you with indescribable emotion and deep yearning for the people from your past you left behind.
Capitalists Must Starve by Park Seolyeong She fucking did it again. This time adapting the life and times of real life revolutionary Kang Juryong into a novel culminating in her historical labour action and hunger strike for the women working in rubber factories in Pyongyang
Sensei's Pious Lie by Akane Torikai Read this first volume and I was like wow this is horrific. Everyone sucks. I love it. Found out the authour is the ex-wife of the dude who made Oyasumi Punpun and I was like ohhhh. It all makes sense.
Project V by Park Seolyeong Ms. Park Seolyeong you will ALWAYS be that bitch. This book rocks. It has it all. Girls who are mech freaks, girls who are better than all the stupid boys and knows she is, girls who are delusional in all the best ways but also knows she's right 100% of the time.
Ducks by Kate Beaton This book genuinely changed my view on so many mysterious aspects of the human parts of Alberta's oil sands. It's an emotional autobiography but powerful.
Tell me how long the train's been gone by James Baldwin This was the second James Baldwin book I've read and I really loved this. It was a long and slow read but really engaging. Leo is an incredible character with such complex depth. I want a movie so bad.
A Magical Girl Retires by Park Seolyeong This will be the first of Park Seolyeong appearing in this thread but not the last. This novel rocked my world. Short and easy read but sooooo good and real. I love you 30 year old magical girls who hate pretentious bullshit.
Moth Flight's Vision by Erin Hunter Warrior cats you will always be famous. ADHD cat ftw.
The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey Based on the author's own experience of growing up as a kid during the days of the Yorkshire ripper. Very good coming of age story during turbulent times. The ending was a bit messy for me but I liked the book a lot.
Colette Decides to Die by Alto Yukimura I heard about this shojo from a YouTuber! It was cute!! I will probably read more but it was a good break from some non-fiction.
Beyond The Trees: A Journey Alone Across Canada's Arctic by Adam Shoalts I was yearning for the outdoors. This book was awesome. Completely felt like reading fiction but it was all true. Really awesome book.
Thread of books I've read this year (so far). Thank you story graph: A History of Canada in Ten Maps by Adam Shoalts Kicked off the year with non-fiction. Very cool read. Fascinating way to tell different historical accounts. Loved reading about the Vikings.
My mom dropped my first and only fountain pen tonight and the nib popped out and now I can't get it back in 😭
He's literally the people with blue eyes meme this is insane
felt an edible hit last week during a watch of Dog Day Afternoon and it was exactly like this

Anyone read The Book of Atrix Wolfe before? I picked it up at the library knowing nothing about it because I am not immune to fantasy anniversary editions
Some of my new things I have are circled! A few older sticker packs and prints though might be phased out or put into a blind bag later on so if you are interested definitely don't wait around.
I posted this on linkedin and instagram but in case any animators follow me here, I will be hosting a very casual and relaxed animator's picnic at High Park in Toronto next month! Please come and hang out for a little and sketch in the park.
My friend and I truly believe that Toei killed all of their staff that knew how to use a green screen and replaced them with AI and that's why you can see things like green glowing hands
