Playing. I’m a Pirates fan in Pittsburgh, and it was like this every day 80 years ago (see daytime image). Every day. People survived. Just two passing days of this isn’t going to hurt elite athletes. But this is the world we live in, I guess. Just my opinion.

Call it a guilty pleasure. But whenever the first hint of summer kicks in, I always play Asia’s debut album from 1982, and I am 16 again. I unapologetically love this collective work by John Wetton, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer and Geoff Downes. And I am genuinely sad that Wetton is no longer with us.

No static image from my upper-deck seats can do Bruce Springsteen’s Pittsburgh show tonight justice. Bruce hasn’t lost a step. Having Tom Morello, Nils Lofgren and Little Steven on guitar was a bonus.

On the other hand, I heard Jim James of jam band My Morning Jacket (a fave of mine) recommend this Louvin Brothers gospel album, without irony. So I gave it some spins. It’s actually OK. (But sorry to hear of your PTSD.)

Holy smokes! Kacey Musgraves’ new album “Middle of Nowhere,” just released today, is an instant classic and a must listen.

“There Goes The Neighborhood” (1981) by Joe Walsh is an underrated album, featuring the single “A Life of Illusion.” It still holds up and may be his most consistent solo work, front to back.

Hot diggity! “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” is a free view on Amazon Prime. Going back to 1982 yet again…

I had an “I survived Three Mile Island” t-shirt (even though I lived almost 4 hours away).

What glorious news! U2 just dropped a second surprise EP, “Easter Lily.” That makes two surprise releases from them in fewer than 40 days.

I laughed a little too hard at this… 😂

I do things like that at 4 a.m. when I have insomnia. And I’m intrigued a bit by the story of Bloodrock. #AT40 🤷‍♂️

I wish he would have won the gold medal at the #Olympics. But after seeing this, I am so glad that Sidney Crosby was not on the Team USA hockey team. It’s so easy to say #LetsGoPens.

DK Metcalf should have held off on taking a swing at a Lions fan. Still, I wish he would have connected like this.

I’ll give Trump credit for this: He never fails to amaze me with his pettiness.
