Really smoky, and appears it's a mix of smoke from Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. Strong smell of smoke and it's supposed to be 35C today. Stay safe out there, north and south of the 49th!
First time in an automated carwash with the Kia! Well. That was a performance. There are like 6 different ways it stops moving automatically! Takes a bit of puzzling and a really nice attendant to override them all! But it looked cool on the display and we got her done!
I had a great Sunday. Made a nice supper. Cleaned up a hedge. But mostly spent the day enjoying my wee family!

I am very happy tonight. My wife of 42 years bought her very first car today. Picked it out, negotiated the price, took delivery ofnit and paid for it from her hard won retirement saving plan funds. Its a cute Kia Niro. For my cute girl!
I chuckled driving home in my new Kia EV4 today watching the price of gas whiplash from $1.60 a litre yesterday to $1.40 this morning and back to $1.70 this afternoon. This is my new car! My wife' gets here next week! Big oil can kiss our aging Fannies!
First world sad day here. Sold my boat today. It wasn't a fancy thing but I loved it. Not using it enough and getting harder to launch it by myself. Went to a lovely young family. Still a bit sad.
It's funny that I get better emergency alerts from Alberta Alerts than I do from any local or BC alerting systems. BC needs to do better!
