A self portrait from February. I realised that as a soft-handed little city cartoonist I really do dress as a cowboy quite a bit. I ❤️ the way I feel in western wear but have to admit I’m all hat no cattle. I used the Durham Ox as a reference & decked out in cowboy gear next to the missing Ox.
Always an anxious moment revealing the top layer after painting into all the recesses.
Recent woodcut artwork I created for my sister’s housewarming. Strangely the clothesline in the new house was a marker of a fresh start and new opportunities in her life. I loved the movement and framing of the clothes against the solid colourbond fence. #landscapepainting #woodblockcarving
