she/her • Georgia, US Hashtag enthusiast. Mouthy spinster. Cursed to regret everything I’ve ever posted, but tragically unable to shut up.
LOL I knew he was coming to Georgia but I didn’t realize he was speaking *at Wheeler*. I had friends from church who went there! Solo & Ensemble Festival was there one year! He should not be allowed to use public schools for political rallies imo!
It shouldn’t be legal to make this woman up to look *exactly* like her mom. For a second, I thought I’d tumbled through a time portal or something. Then I realized no, it’s just that society is already on its 2nd generation of Cindys Crawford bc I’m an old hag now. THANKS A LOT, NARS!
This shelf at ULTA made me do a double-take. It’s not my place to criticize anyone who feels they need on-the-go vulvar hydration, but I think they should at least consult their doctors about that.
Glad ABC and NBC didn’t show it, but this last paragraph… oof. I gather the thinking was that Biden’s 2022 speech was “campaigning” - and it probably was! - but the choices were literally democracy vs fascism and they went, “Oh well we wouldn’t want anyone to think we’re taking sides!”
I’m not gonna pretend to be a war crimes expert, but if this isn’t against int’l law, it should be. And as one of the many many many Americans who live in the vicinity of a nuclear plant: CAN WE NOT SET A PRECEDENT FOR ATTACKING NUCLEAR PLANTS, OR EVEN THE AREAS AROUND THEM?
Part 2,582 in my series “My cats do NOT ‘take care of me when I’m sick’”: I had chills so I grabbed a blanket. Got up for a second and boycat burrowed fully into it. Now I can hear the A/C running but it’s really hot in here… bc he’s migrated the blanket to completely cover the A/C vent.
When you’ve got all your journalling stuff out and you’re ready to get started
Here’s a modern folk-y tune worth checking out on your streaming platform of choice…
I’m surprised (which is to say: horrified) at my Techbro percentage and now I want to know which questions did it! 🤣
There was some sort of fly making a racket in my window during my last meeting and I did not expect it to be a blue and green wasp? Per the internet, this friend is a Blue Cuckoo Wasp who is invasive-but-widespread and poses no threat to me or my cats. Will try to escort them outside if I get time.
I have *cuter* pics of them, but this one (“ButtHoleFace 2026”) is the most representative.
My hair wants to do a Helena Bonham Carter-style “glamorous bird’s nest” thing and I think it kind of works for me? (Pic to illustrate what I mean, obvs not a photo of me as I would rather die)
I’ve just returned from my first-ever cruise and despite all the awful unfun facts everyone knows about cruises, it was DELIGHTFUL. The ocean is the most beautiful thing in the universe, and having minimal internet access is a fantastic idea.
I *did*, however, enjoy the portion where we met this psychologist, who correctly notes that if these assholes really believed it was going to be catastrophic, they could simply… not. But they’re definitely going to anyway because they are irredeemably evil. YES INCLUDING ANTHROPIC. /fin
Then we meet the sentient turd who sells those “Friend” things the whole media wrote about back in February. He predicts that so-called “AI” will lead to a horror show for mankind. And whether you believe him or not, his conclusion that it’ll be “entertaining” should be cited at his eventual trial.
I hope you’re sitting down for the least surprising reveal of 2026: the AI lovebird lady is married to a human husband and he does not care for Max. When an LLM threatened to destroy her marriage, she did the only logical thing: asked a *different* LLM for help!
Over the weekend, I read a Vanity Fair piece about AI shitlords (do NOT recommend). Naturally I couldn’t resist snapping some pics… Like this account of a woman’s tryst with her AI “lover” (“Max”), in which she blurts a whole run-on sentence in the throes of the most loquacious orgasm in history.
Guess Publix didn’t get the memo that you can’t ask people to be considerate of their neighbors wrt fireworks, lest you get a full week of Nextdoor posts calling you unamerican for caring about veterans, babies, and/or pets.
Can’t decide if this means I was born into the perfect church for me, or if it just means my liberal UMC upbringing really took. Either way, I’m pleased.
It was better when UK culture and US culture were two different things and you could follow them both but they weren’t cross-pollinating all the goddamn time
