And this lack of fact checking and accountability leads to things like them citing a man who said this. It is this person's clip of Piker that is used to accuse him when he called a viewer a "pig dog." His clip is cited by Third Way in their op-ed, Ritchie Torres, and many others.

Brown people are being put in concentration camps. Activists are getting charged for acting on their first amendment rights. The FBI has named any form of left wing ideology terrorism. But abusers now face fewer sanctions than a brief moment it seemed they might. For Andreessen, this is freedom.

There is a lot wrong with this, but let's start with this: if you claim to be progressive, Jewish or not, antisemitism is indeed your problem. It hurts movements. It divides allies. It has people focusing on Jews instead of those actually responsible. Even if not for Jews' sakes, it's a problem!

This is... just wild. The claim is that if you are Jewish, you essentially *deserve* antisemitism directed at you. The reason? Enough Jews and institutions supported the genocide that it is... logical I guess... to assume you are pro-genocide unless you actively repute it. Just nonsense.

The broken logic here is striking, and it's just as fallacious as when Jewish feelings of fears of antisemitism are considered proof of a rise in antisemitism. This is Lapidot's own thoughts, not the people he imagines are thinking them. And then he uses it as his proof for his points.

Much of the Jewish left is naive about antisemitism, especially when they pin it only on Israel's actions (and here, "Jews"). Israel matters. So do weaponized accusations. But antisemites have spent a decade building a system, and Israel is one way they exploit it. This thinking erases that.

Your regular reminder that Israel does not literally control America, even if it has significant influence. Particularly true with Trump, whose entire personality is based off authoritarian control. Believing otherwise flies in the face of logic and evidence. And it is a conspiracy theory.

On Pod Save America, @booker.senate.gov admits that he hadn't even heard of Hasan Piker until a few days ago. This despite his claim he wouldn't appear on the show due to antisemitism concerns. His reason: his comms director showed him the "most outrageous" clips. Unbelievably irresponsible.

Sick stuff. And evidence that Jewish folks who target Muslims are actually far *more* likely to target their own than the other way around. When you start dividing the world into who deserves safety and who doesn't, you by nature will hurt those around you as well.
