The two navy recruiters discuss the mermaids while one of the navy people's two children holler to go on a boat ride. The man, Fitz, explains he knows what the women were signing in ASL because his sister is deaf. He's assigned to talk to them with the advice to be honest, tell them he's a navy recruiter and (pause) he's single.

Caturday! The cat found a new hiding place. Even though she's 15 1/2 years old, she leapt up 4 feet to find the secret sweater and spare pillow shelf in my closet.

One girl underwater, using ASL, says "breathe", the other signs "Got it". The Navy man thinks Signing? We see the swimmers from behind. The Navy people and one of the kids are the only people in the audience not recording with their phones. One mermaid signs Man, then staring. The other mermaid responds Cute. The man sinks in his seat, blushing. He leans to his colleague saying I think it's those two, while a little girl shushes him. The colleague says Talk to them while he quietly apologizes to the little girl for interrupting the show.

More in my chaotic manga. Two sailors meet two sirens. This is all blue ink on Canson paper. It took "forever" because I had to research American Sign Language (ASL), Florida tourist attractions, Navy uniforms... well you get the idea.

Navy recruiters discuss mermaids. Two of them to to "the mermaid park" (with the children of one of them in tow) One mermaid tells the other to remember to use her breathing tube as her not using it freaked out "that lady from tampa". Last panel is the two mermaids doing water dancing while holding their air tubes.

The latest in my comix series. A woman who can see through anything (pretty much). Not x-ray vision, per se, but the ability to take a deep look at things.

The husband says to use the crescent wrench since the client doesn't know, adding that it's all about faith for these folks. It has started, as have the mistakes and chemistry experiments. Both the Sailor ink and the India ink are very water soluble, so I got White Out, correction tape, and Sharpies. I put in an order for archival waterproof ink with JetPens. In the interim, I correct and do the pencil work.

Reason 1 million why Oakland is awesome. A musician gave a talk on Arabic music to a diverse room of people, including a gentleman wearing a kippah made with a fabric that has musical instruments printed on it. Music unites us. Being in Oakland unites us. This was at the library. Also awesome.
