sure, that guy made a name for himself but his whole thing was inspired by this photo of me as a 12yo girl—v frustrating
i only follow whatever sport is currently trending on bluesky but i am in love
no experience is what a particular person in a particular set of circumstances, at a particular time, in a specific peer group, etc goes through i want younger candidates w a larger stake in the future, not ppl who feel entitled bc of their age & years of experience in a demonstrably failed system
i feel like a high stakes senate election is a far better way to manage feelings of inadequacy than, you know, raping women but maybe i have the wrong perspective on this?
we just got a new little guy (one elder departed for new adventures 6mo ago, one middle aged buddy vanished 3mo ago) also brave, friendly, cuddly, playful, etc absolute joy
my beloved of 16y has been off enjoying new adventures for about 6 months, now; my daughter’s beloved of 6y vanished almost 3m ago, leaving her bereft yesterday, she went to the humane soc & her heart sang for this little guy we both have a new buddy—he takes up a whole pillow & enjoys cdramas 🐈⬛🥹✨
my littlest is officially a teen today—she’s the coolest cat in the family 🤓
every rainbow is my favorite—except for the human rainbow soaring in a class of its own the first pic here is the infinite rainbow view that forced us to move into this house 12y ago the 2nd pic is why: 2 (then) littles, lots of puddles, quiet st for splashing, & room to grow into whoever they are
we also travel w our 4 (now 2💔) cats who hate the first 15 min of travel but make great travel buddies by the time we hit the interstate :) my spine is a monstrosity so i need a proper bed; otherwise, we would’ve a smaller & more flexible (use, boondocking access) vehicle—overall, very happy though
this is gizmo, always perched as close to anyone’s head as possible; if we’re in bed, he circles our faces at least three times before settling in or leaving to howl somewhere. he wakes my husband at 2, 4, & 6am by howling right in his ear—the only thing that makes me glad my hearing is going 🫠
i lost my buddy Jack Jack 6 months ago and i was “fine” with it (bc old age, very sick boy) until yesterday when, all of a sudden, i burst into sobs i miss him
they don’t even need to store a pair of zeppelins—just set them free to the wind
mother’s day—a day that is anywhere from tense to traumatic for many of us—is coming up soon (usa) my mother is not a safe person for me & i haven’t acknowledged it w her since having my own kids i feel neither remorse nor regret—we all have our own needs & stories as i tell my kids: Safety First
How things happen has always been unclear. Hurricanes begin in a place where no one lives. Agents of the government start to wear masks. Fascism is a word my neighbors won't use yet. They are following the law, they say, and the sirens are coming for someone else. ft in alt
just under 1mo ago, our grandson (child of a teen mother) went missing, leaving us w an enormous hole in our family this flier has been distributed to 200+ homes we have had sincere emails trickling in that have given us leads & hope—& have restored some of our lost faith in humanity
these are from a gingerbread house party my girls had w some friends—one of them was a guy friend with an interest in more military precision than outright bloodbaths 🫡✨
this is the zombie hello kitty piñata custom ordered by my sweet sweet 4yo daughter 🤩😅
i have a bad relationship w my mom (w scrabble board, right) for a number of reasons—many beyond our control but intolerable, even if understandable—so it was nice to run across this photo & feel nothing but a burst of fondness. the woman on the left, gone, is missed; so is my dad, david, not shown
one of our boys has vanished into thin air & we’ve spent a lot of time in area shelters, lately—just brutal
