Morning of two halves this, on the one hand, saw my first Herring Gull chicks of the year - but on the other hand I've just retrieved an adult Herring Gull from the road with a smashed wing and leg. Put him somewhere warm and dry to hopefully peacefully pass away.
Call me crazy, but I cannot help but think that the triple lock on the state pension would not be at the forefront of peoples minds if we found ourselves at war with Russia....
