Yeah declining rates should be helpful theoretically. This diagram on GDP growth doesn't seem to have a correlation with your population growth rate as far as I can see. So is Fressoz possibly right then that population growth/decline ≠ GDP/material/energy growth/decline?
The difference between looking at "ages of..." and the accumulated totals. I guess the market might have one concern while the planet has another... @thierryaaron.bsky.social is the glas half empty or half full?
I cant remember seeing a summary placing ferries above airplanes. Where is the data supporting flight?
No surprise as renewables have had a hard time keeping up with growing demand. The scale of the build out of coal plants last year is mindblowing. More than the rest of the world combined and even more...
This came from some meme account dont know which one. A good solution!
Brazil and Saudi Arabia some of China's key EV export markets. While Russia is the biggest ICE export market. All of them are oil producers. BYD trends in exports this year shows large part of PHEVs in Brazil while sales in EU are mostly BEV. No signs of sales falling because of tariffs yet. #ev
Hi! In Sweden reading the Blue Machine from my local library. Interested in ecology, history, technology, geopolitics etc. Big interest in energy transition in China as it is less covered than Europe and US, and bigger stakes. Will add some of my thoughts on that. Any starter packs you suggest?
