(Think) I’ve finally finished* the portrait/pawtrait *it’s my first completed oil on canvas with no input from a tutor so I can’t decide if I can fix it and make it better or just leave it be now
Some progress and some mistakes fixed. I hate oils and yet I love them
Trying to talk myself out of some 2nd hand lug sole chuck taylors they may be the nearest visual equivalent to the ones here but that does not mean I need them, right?
Still got to do a load of palm trees in silhouette and tidy up mistakes. I think I’d like them tbf, but we are not same shoe size
So the key to being befriended was wear a slightly silly t shirt to an activity with other nd people, why did i not know this? Glares at the conversation stopping plain and band t’s (Excuse the wet straggly hair)

Today in “surely if I keep at it I’ll develop my own style and find a medium that suits it” attempted a Mari, the borrowed paint pens at were a bit blobby though. (Subject inspired by the amazing @skullsandsheets.bsky.social ) Still, to misquote Andrew Weatherall, fail we may, sketch we must!
Oh thank you, that was done in basic stationary marker pens, today I gave oil pastels another go but couldn’t decide between going for cartoonish or realism
Can’t relate tbh, it would take me a lot of masking to try to fit in with what social media now means by “neurodivergent” the conundrum of many long time, diagnosed under DSMIV autistics. We’re too uncool, too unfathomably weird and just too embarrassing to be associated with for the neurospicies
