My copy of "All my dead cats and other losses" by @sesmith.lol just arrived in the mail! As someone who's been forever changed by death and continues to be surrounded by ongoing loss, I can't wait to dive into this book where grief and mourning have a chance of being normalized.

Two years ago today, Xiomara received a kidney from a generous donor and underwent a successful life-saving transplant surgery. She has survived and thrived because of Medicaid. Today, every U.S. senator has the power to #VoteNo to #ProtectMedicaid for medically complex disabled kids like mine.

You know you are part of something really special when you text someone out of the blue on Tuesday to ask them to come from NC to DC to fight this Big Ugly Bill and then they are on a plane 48 hours later with their medically complex disabled children at their side, all fired up to save Medicaid. 💕
