She/her. Films, books, (mostly retired) tennis players & personal family drama. “As you can see I’m a disaster in everything but I’m trying hard guys.”
Was talking to mum and a family friend about The Dress earlier (they see blue/black, I see white/gold) and we’re now watching Big Fat Quiz: Best Quiz and they brought out the person who took the photo of The Dress as the mystery guest. Spooky!
Finally saw Adam Lambert live! Well I’ve seen him with Queen twice but never seen him perform his own music and it was such a great gig. I also appreciated his show finishing before 10pm/being in a venue close to the train station so I’ll get home at a somewhat reasonable time for a London show.
This is not an exaggeration. I definitely saw him with his phone out, clearly recording the show at one point. It makes me happy that Brian May was invited/wanted to come to Adam’s solo show 💕
Now the question is will Carlos Alcaraz gate crash Spain’s locker room like Rafa Nadal did in 2010
Me in my dad’s local bar in Spain after Spain won the World Cup in 2010 vs me today in the same off the market David Villa shirt at home hoping they’re gonna win it again.
I don’t love Guardians of the Galaxy as much as everyone else seems to (though according to Letterboxd I used to). While the characters do feel more like a found family than the Avengers do, the type of humour isn’t for me & there’s more moments that grate on me than not. Soundtrack is ace though.
Finished the audiobook of This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me and what an excellent start to a new fantasy series. A complex world full of scheming and violence - but it’s fun too! - lots of interesting characters, a fantastic protagonist in Maggie and my other favourites are Solentine and Clover #booksky
My #Top5FirstViews of June: - Voicemails for Isabelle (2026) - Strangers on a Train (1951) - Good Boy (2025) - Tuner (2025) - Disclosure Day (2026)
Was going to go to the cinema after work but this heatwave has scuppered that plan.
OK so the second series wasn’t as good but it was still compelling and Hannah and Bailey’s relationship was still so important to me. It again ended in a satisfying way where there could be another series but if there isn’t I wouldn’t be mad about it which is kinda all I want from TV shows nowadays.
S1 of The Last Thing He Told Me was a pretty good character-focused mystery/thriller & I loved the growing relationship between the step mum & daughter. The series wrapped up in a really satisfying way so I’m apprehensive about starting the second season - I want more but I hope it ends just as good
We don't usually see each other's headers. Here's mine. Quote post with yours.
My #Top5FirstViews in May: - A Man Called Otto (2022) - The Sheep Detectives (2026) - The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) - Remarkably Bright Creatures (2026) - Three Days of the Condor (1975)
Finished the audiobook of There Is No Antimemetics Division. The audio production is great with it sounding like static when things are redacted. Had a look at a copy in Waterstones to see what that looked like on the page, sometimes it’s just a word or a sentence but sometimes it’s huge passages.

Experiencing my favourite LotR film with a live orchestra and choir was amazing enough but then Sir Ian McKellen himself introduced it! Can’t wait to see the next two films tomorrow!
It’s already going very nicely. After checking into my hotel I spent an hour lying in Hyde Park reading my book near a pond filled with ducks and swans till it got a bit chilly ☺️
