Today is Election Day, California! From my two decades delivering housing to middle class families, serving as President Obama’s Ambassador overseas to nearly 8 years as Lt. Governor, I have the experience and proven record necessary to serve as a Treasurer Californians can trust.

California, we are one day away from Election Day! Your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day, so today is a great day to drop it in the mailbox or return to it to a vote center. In order for democracy to work, we all need to participate, so be sure to go to vote.ca.gov to make your plan.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and maternal figures!  As a mom, I’m especially grateful to my two sons for giving me the incredible gift of motherhood. To my sons, raising you both has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life.

For this month’s book club, I read Governor @gavinnewsom.bsky.social’s autobiography, Young Man in a Hurry. The book offers an insightful look at his life, with a detailed first-person account of the challenges he faced. I highly recommend it and look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on it.
