Some not-so-small bites from the trip so far. (One of these things is not like the others)

Grouper tail and clam soup with rice wine. This was heavenly and also a HUGE bowl.

Jadite cabbage from the Qing Dynasty, on display at the Palace Museum. Yes, I do have a photo of Sticky "biting" into it. Unfortunately the dong bo rou was not on display that day.

Taiwanese dessert! Sticky's (top) is peanut shaved ice with chocolate sauce and hundreds and thousands. Mine is grass jelly, stewed nuts, and taro balls on shaved ice.

Sticky and I are off for a bit, but not before I submitted a Thing. A Thing! Anyway, enjoy this picture of some of our guppy colony eating blanched cucumber.

11 or 13 guppies swarming a slice of blanced cooled cucumber, in the "fish pot" (it's a large biodegradable aqua planter). Epipremnum and various river stones in water.

I thought I'd take Sticky to Lion City Faire today, in her Tang or Ming dress (and my "modern Chinese" makes). But tickets were all sold out, so we made a mushroom and bacon tarte tartin instead.

Portobello, onion, and bacon tarte tartin. The bacon is mostly for Sticky. Also, she fried all the ingredients.

Portobello, onion and bacon tarte tatin did not survive long.

Rehoused many of the snails because I guess they were overwhelming the fisd and settling all around the sweet potato (yes), and I didnt want to return to a snail colony, so anyway, I now have a jar of 15 snails. At least. 🐌🐌🐌

A large jar with tones, moss, epipremnum, and 15 snails. Possibly more. This will be covered with muslin to keep out mosquitoes
