Went to Swan Island Dahlia farm last September in Oregon and saw this gentleman Plein air painting. He stopped me in my tracks. Color my life!

Look at the surprise I found yesterday. I didn’t have any info on this ginger plant but even in the dead of winter the leaf was appealing. Last month, I cut back the winter ravaged leaves. Now this! Asarum maximum ‘Ling Ling’ (Panda Face Ginger).

These people did not even turn around when a US military man was being injured in the back of the chamber.

Men and women that sat in the front of the room did not even turn around when the altercation happened in the senate hearing. The back rows of people did.

Distant Drum in my garden last August.
