Back on my vintage story modding bullshit and I'm so weak to peer pressure that a single "lol" when I joke about making a jonas tech vape that I'm making it real and usable in-game
Videogames is when you play dressup with the guys on your screen. And yes, I did colour pick my avi for the colourscheme
The dither effect looks great but the colours ignore the stylisation when they blend together, the bastards. >:( Will need to fiddle with it more to make it look good in motion (and do more blender lighting homework to get the hard lighting look I want) but as a proof of concept I'm a fan.
I've got an eevee cel-shaded light bands shader i'm testing hence the look of it, but it goes like this on faces that are parallel-ish to the light source, but it's also an issue on regular basic material shader lighting as well
I know I said I wanted "Harsh light and shadow" blender, but that's taking the piss a bit I can get the cel-shading effect fine but as soon as I start mixing two colours it stops doing that and the lightest spots start doing normal soft lighting again booo & that's not including shadow map weirdness
I've got a few WIPs that I keep bouncing between but this one is going very well. Some might even say... It's Perfect
I've never had a favourite shape, but ever since I started doing 3D art you can be DAMN sure I have a least favourite
The placeholder punchline ended up being funnier than all my other ideas alt title: [Sam and Max voice] "But Jam, you don't even like girls" #makeaterriblecomicday2025
Lately I've been making a Vintage Story mod instead of doing my normal 3d art, hope you like particle emitters in the form of incense
Remembered I had this "Jam as an Animal Crossing villager" thing I made a while ago
Trying to make a sci-fi gun and instead I've ended up making some sort of marital aid (this is supposed to be the battery you put IN the gun but still)
